Alright. But I'm not removing it from my sig, in the interest of superstition.

You say it's his linemates working the boards, but more often than not, it's Gerbe who's doing the board work. The kid will be a regular contributor. I predict at least 20-30 goal ceiling for him confidently.

He's trying to work the boards, but he's not very good at it simply because he gets outmuscled. Not every time but usually. I don't blame him though. He just needs to keep impressing with his effort everywhere else, getting around the net and under opponent's skin, and he's going to be a solid contributor.

Seriously, i've not heard dink in forever. I think it was since some dude was describing connolly as a 'selfish dink' or something.

Nice. Didn't notice that possibility until you pointed it out.

Really... How can you be so sure? If you compare Gerbe to guys like Martin St.Louis , Brian Gionta and Mike Cammalleri... Gerbe is having a way better roookie season and all three of those guys have had 30 goal + seasons.

So do you think since Gerbe is having a better rookie season that he could potentially be better than those three players?

I do, the reason's are:
1. He's having a way better second half of the season, opposed to his slow start. It's a lot tougher to play good later in the season than earlier.

2. I think he plays a more physical pestering style than all three of those players.Which cause a lot of chances for him and his linemates.

3. He can take a check for a small guy (Height) 5'5". He weighs more than than Gionta and St.Louis. Gerbe weighs in at 178 Lbs, that's a wrecking ball IMO. Which makes him able to play in the dirty area's in front of the net and such.

4. He's a very smart two way player, He is learning the NHL game and Lindys system very well. He also seems to get smarter and tougher as the season goes on. Look for him to be a top six forward next year going 30 30 +10

5. Let's face it Gerbacity has the eye of the tiger!

Maybe Gerbe can score 20 once or twice before we start penciling him in for 30.

Probably because he has 26 points and shows no real sign of impressive talent other than working hard, and just because he's had a little mean streak with points and hard work we're penciling him in for 30 goals and becoming the next St. Louis. Holy shit, guys.
