That's fair. I do try to have a level head and criticize Vanek when applicable. While he does have among the most positive mentions on my blog, he also has among the most negative mentions as well. It's just that with Vanek people have the tendency to spout off things that simply aren't true and stick to them when there's evidence to the contrary. A perfect example is the "overpaid" tag. It's been proven that Vanek's production is comparable to others in the league with a similar cap hit. That statement is untrue. If you want to say that players above a certain pay class are overpaid as a whole (and I've suggested as such myself) then that's a different story.

I don't recall calling anyone a short sighted idiot. Nor do I have a history of shitting on people who simply don't have a god-like impression of Vanek. I just attack bad arguments.

I really saw nothing wrong with this comment as far as insulting to other members. Short sighted idiots are not people who say "meh, I really don't think Miller is as good as proclaimed, in my opinion". I would say "Miller fucking sucks and has a bad temper, hang him" as short sighted idiots.

Knowing Caro as I do, I would say you could take it any way you wanted to, and probably be right.
