Those were megalithic points tonight. The team played AWESOME defense and Enroth made the stops when he had to. Yowza!

Sunday's game at Carolina...it is as I have forseen it.

and you know what? fuck it. the sabres, while a long shot, are STILL in the division hunt. though its a 1 in a million... im sayin theres a chance.

I like 7th and a matchup against the Caps.

Washington is ripe for the picking (playoff wise), in my opinion

I think that if you get the split against the Caps, their sphincters will tighten enough to make diamonds.

The upside of this playoffs is the we play great on the road, but even if we finish 8th, and Philly takes the conference, I'm all over that match-up.

Sekera got a misconduct after the game had ended. Does this have any consequences for him?

...and Dubinsky didn't get anything?

Looks like Reggie called someone a coc.....

Rule23
http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=26306

Minimum $200 fine, but unless the action being deemed a misconduct. There is not automatic suspension for an end game misconduct from breezing through the rule. When you get 3 you loose a game. In the playoffs its 2 misconducts to loose a game.

Probably. Sekera got 2 min for roughing and a 10 min misconduct. It's odd that nobody else got a penalty, Sekera isn't exactly a roughing-guy.

Sekera absolutely jumped Callahan. Not surprised he got the minutes. I am surprised no one else did.

And yea, I'm pumped up from that win.

I basically just got done bouncing around the apartment for the last couple hours, the last ten minutes of the game just kept building tension, I couldnt believe Jonas came away with the shutout, that connolly found a brief shining moment of being worth more than nothing, and that we leapfrogged the rags. Fuckin A man.

Gerbe bundled Callahan to end the game. Callahan probably got a little too chippy, Reggie jumps Callahan.

Love how this team sticks up for each other. I have absolutely no problem with what Sekera did.

Just cuz he plays for the Rangers doesn't make him from NYC. He's a WNY boy (Rochester).

That game got me more excited than any other win so far this season. When the final horn sounded I spent the next two minutes pacing my house shouting "Yeeeeeesss!" pumping my fists.

Felt like a Sabres-Rangers playoff game from 2007, only this Sabres team is more gritty.

Same here. Funny to think a 1 goal win over the rags would mean so much, but it felt more like a playoff game, and our ability to step it up and protect a one goal lead to the final buzzer means a lot. Getting into playoff mode?

Fun side fact. I got all over NHL.com's case when they failed to include Miller's big shutout in the headlines. Being fair I felt I had to commend them on having Enroth's shutout from last night as their main story....even if the lame title was "A Real Life-Sabre"....ugh
