The Penguins are basically the new Jersey Devils, except that instead of feasting on n-zone turnovers they do it off of o-zone turnovers. The Sabres are more susceptible to o-zone mishaps than they are in the n-zone, which is what makes it a bad match up for the Sabres. But, given how bad the Penguins power play is, they can actually relax and play more aggressively in their own zone. Because even if the Penguins play 5 or 6 times a night on the power it's still unlikely that they burn you.

The Penguins are not good at face-offs either, so puck control actually favors the Sabres provided that they move their legs and don't make bad passes.

Fleury is a head case.

yes, but NO Pens.... they just seem to be in the sabres head... all logic aside... no pens... let someone else deal with them... give me Wash, Philly, or Boston...

We can't play Washington now.

I don't want Pitt either though. Imagine if Crosby comes back. Big if, but just imagine...every time a Sabre comes within ten feet of prissy golden boy it will be an interference call.

If Carolina makes it, I think Washington will have their hearts torn from their chest and shown to their faces while still beating for the second year in a row.

To the Sabres, the Penguins are the new Senators. No no no to the Penguins in the first round.

Oh yeah, for those of you that complained about this thread being bad luck...the bi-winning power of this thread crushed your foolish superstitions.

I didn't think it was bad luck, just premature. You guys know my feeling about jinxes and luck and whatnot.

I don't like when threads are created to congratulate players that are on hot streaks, but it's silly to think that any of these threads would contribute to a players mental approach to a game.

Sup guys?

I'd like to play either Boston or Philly. But at the same time I'd rather not play either. Looking at the rosters of these 2 teams they are made for the playoffs.

This is off topic but I was just watching the Rangers VS Devils game and Drury just got his first goal of the season; or first goal in 25 games. Lol the decision to let him walk looks better each and every season.

Doubtful considering Was is 5-0-1 vs Car this year. Stanger things have happened I guess but this one I just dont see happening.

Just wondering if anyone knew why Philly is ranked #2 in the East while Pittsburgh is ranked #4? They both have 104 pts but Pittsburgh has more wins? I thought the first tie breaker was wins... Anyone clear that up? Thanks!!

Your right it is wins but its the row column you have to look for. Philly has more regulation or overtime wins than Pittsburgh, therefore that is why the Flyers are in 2nd and the Penguins are in 4th. But that could change if Philly loses and Pittsburgh wins. Anyways i would like them to face the Bruins or the Flyers.

A Shootout Win basically doesn't count anymore as a win in the final standings.

Going to be a tough series with the Flyers...should rekindle my hatred for them which has started to die off.
