I'm watching the Caps vs rags game on CSN, and for about the first ten minutes there was no commentary. It must have been some sort of technical error, the ice and crowd noises were there, you could hear the refs announcing penalties, but absolutely no play by play or color commentary, no voices.

Dear god, this is how hockey should be delivered. It felt like I was at the game, I didnt need some dude to TELL me what I was watching, i'm fucking watching it! They still did replays and stuff so I didnt feel like I missed anything.

Did anyone else experience this? How much would you love this option on broadcasts? I mean, i'd probably feel torn when it's RJ, but for all other games i'd muuuuuuuuch rather do without the commentary.

I'm with ya man. It would be great if they just shut the fuck up and let the game happen instead of filling every second with hot air. I like updates on injuries, streaks etc and it's nice to have the game called when i leave the room to get a beer so I don't miss anything but I would be down for them shutting it.

Yeah, I've wished the same thing. It would be like being in the rink, but with good replays!

I absolutely love when that happens. Technical difficulties are more like technical miracles.
