A few months ago I posted a cryptic deal about being accused of a crime. Well now I can talk about it.

A friend of mine had been helping me prepare for an art show and I was at his place a few times. Out of the blue his kid said I "touched" him. Never been alone with the kid, never wrestled with him, never helped him potty...nothing. My friend actually hugged me and said he was sorry because he knew I didn't do it but his ex (who doesn't know me) flipped and wanted my head on a platter. So 2,500 bucks later and three months of shit it turns out the kid's family is so fucked up he latched onto me for attention and without understanding the context of what he was saying, thought he'd get attention. Well I had a minor melt down, thought I was gonna end up in prison and be ass raped, have my kids taken from me etc etc.

I lost a lot of money from not doing shows downtown and teaching because of this.

If I was a dick to anyone here over the last few months I'm sorry. I've been kind of worn for awhile. Things are fine now though I don't think I'll ever get an apology from the parents. I'm planning a 40 mile hike on the Colorado Trail to kind of be my version of an end to this shit so in June if anyone wants you can join me out here.

i know this is heavy but a few of you pm'd me and I just thought I'd finally explain.

wow I'm sorry that you had to go through with all that. Sounds absolutely awful but I'm glad to hear things are doing better. Hopefully a great Sabres playoff run will help lift your spirits

Yup. The biggest mind fuck was that they could have taken my kids away until they proved I didn't do anything. That was what was killing me. Everything is fine now and the truth was found out but I went on one hell of a mental rollercoaster for awhile. On that note though, between that and getting stuck in the mountains for two days I'm hoping I have built up enough karma for a Sabres Cup win.

Just lucky the pre-file fight worked out because it's like 30-40 grand for the court battle and it's impossible to prove you didn't do it. If you kill someone they need to show evidence, in this kind of thing they just need to point a finger. Meh....all done. Some harry weeks there when I thought I was gonna get hosed and have my family broken up but things are golden now.

It was all a precaution really. No one ever contacted me other than the father telling me what had happened. I finaally got the word from him that the councelors said nothing happened and it all had to do with a lack of a father figure. To the kid he was just trying to get attention.

Jesus buttfucking christ, that is messed up man. So glad to hear all you lost was 2500 and some hair, I imagine things could have been much worse. At least you dont have to move more than a mile from any school, and introduce yourself to all the neighbors as 'the guy who lives next to you and was also convicted of child touching'

What a terrible thing to have to endure. I'm glad you made it through with some semblance of sanity, even if it was at the cost of a lighter wallet.

So sorry that you went through that. I can only imagine how terrible it is to be accused of something of that magnitude. Not to sound sue happy, but is there anything you can do to recover the $2500 in legal fees? Even if not specifically for the legal fees... IDK. Not a lawyer, obviously.

I thought about it and i have lawyers in the family but I think I'm just done with it. Flushing the whole situation from my memory. Now I may take up a suit though against the crazy mom since she basically told everyone I was a kiddie ped and since then I've had more than a couple shitty awkward moments at gallery shows.

Well, if you have lawyers in the family, maybe they can at least consult on length of time involved, and maybe something for false accusations so the crazy mom shuts up for fear of future retributions. karma's a bitch, but maybe you can speed the karma along..

Man, brutal story. Sorry dude, you got a raw deal. That crazy ass bitch does deserve a little retribution but if my 4 yr old kid even suggested some adult was doing the unthinkable, I might become a little crazy ass myself. What i find most disturbing is that a 4 year old would even know to use that as a way to get attention. Where did he learn that from because most 4yr olds I know would throw a temper tantrum or do something they know was against the rules of their house to get attention. I gotta wonder how this kid even knew to use this weapon unless of course he is a ped victim and just displaced the accusation to not get someone else who was more important in his life in trouble Say...his drunk father?
