Yeah, that was kinda surprising to me.

It's sad. I don't care how badly someone played; if he was here for a decade and genuinely loved it and gave his best (and Afinogenov did; he just isn't very hockey smart... but I would dare anyone to try to say the guy didn't try his best), you don't boo the guy. Oh well.

I'm going with the General for the first goal and Helen Keller with the second.

Well, Briere COULD have signed here, and chose not to.

If a guy chooses not to sign, I don't mind him getting booed. If the team doesn't want them and they go elsewhere, I think it's a little out of hand.

Blaming Lalime for this is misguided.

I'm not blaming him, I'm saying that he doesn't help. The team always plays like shit when he's in net and I have yet to figure out if they just expect to lose so take the night off or if Lalime's lack of leadership and or skill fucks with their confidence.

LaLime can't stand on his head everytime he is in net.

I'm not sure why the first Kovie goal was there and who left him open, the second Kovie goal, Miller wouldn't have stopped it either.

bet the players wish it was marty back there. i mean i don't know why they quit on him but they do.

The fact is that Lalime isn't close to where he needs to be to win us 50% of his starts...period. He's soft, he's a fucking rebound machine and the team has no confidence in him. Nice guy...but keep your nice and give me a solid back up goalie.

People who boo Max just aren't very smart. There's no reason to boo him...just stupid.

There aren't many backup goalies in the league that win 50% of their starts.

I want to punch them all in the face (OK not really), and I was glad to see Max go. Dude was here for, what, ten seasons? And he loved it here and always wanted to stay, and he always tried... He wasn't a very good hockey player, sure, but it wasn't his choice to leave the team, and he wasn't bad for lack of effort.

Yeesh.

Depends, really.

I honestly don't like living in the past, so I'd rather have a different backup goalie.
