Wanted to toss out another hats off to Nieds for his play tonight. Nothing fantastic, but just solid veteran play on his part.

Don't flame me too bad, folks :P

None forthcoming. He's playing the kind of game we've wanted out of him all season.

I thought Nieds has played well this whole series. He's definitely made more of an impact than most players on this team.

Miller's best game. Maybe ever. Hasekesque. And performances like that, folks, are why we shake our heads when he gives up 5.

That's because you're incapable of understanding when a goal is actually Miller's fault, and when it was caused by a defensive lapse.

if you want to break it down that way, you can blame about 95% of goals on the defense (on ANY team, ANY year). seriously, if you take it that far, it comes down to deflections and real softies.

goalies are expected to make up for some defensive lapses, it's the nature of the position. they are the backbone for a reason.

It's like Nick Mendola said. Do you think when Lindy and Darcy signed Nieds and said "We're going to need you for the playoffs," do you think he thought they only meant playoffs?

Great Team effort all the way around! I loved seeing Vanek back check hard, Butler also had a saved goal in the first, and lastly LOVED how Miller is not taking shit from any of the flyers in front of the net. If the flyers game plan is to continue to get in his way expect a nice slug from Ryan Miller!

Great job boys! Bring it to 'em at there place!

Also how about ennis' flip of the puck over the d-man and onto the break away in the 3rd!? I knew he had moves but never imagined seeing that, too bad he couldn't of finished it or it may have been a buffalo great for a while to come

great time at the plaza with Phil and Alex. It was freaking cold but definitely worth it.
Not only was Myers a physical beast tonight. He seemed to have a personal agenda against Briere and I loved every bit of it. The Sabres gave me a heart attack at times tonight, and I don't think I took a breath at all during the 3rd period but it was great to see the team get this win and tie up the series. Miller also gave a metaphoric eff you to all his haters tonight. Fucking sick saves he made, especially the one on Briere(although I'm still perplexed as to why Briere was alone in front of our net and had all the time in the world...)

Anyways, 2 down, 14 to go.
On to Game 5..

How Myers treated Briere all night in a nutshell

I don't hate Danny Briere at all and still like the guy even though he's on Philly. I just want Myers to pound the ever loving shit out of Mike Richards. It looked like he was ready to when he drag him out and was ready to unload on him. Also hats off to Nathan Gerbe at the end of the game. I love this guy he has turned his game around and is turning into a solid player. I also want to see Gaustad against Van Riemsdyk or Hartnell I'm so sick of those two pukes.

Ditto.

The puck started to go up ice and literally everyone followed it except for Briere. Jordan Leopold was the D-man down low that should have picked Briere up, but he just glided towards the puck staring at it like a moron.

I'm not sure if I hate Briere.

I think he's an egotistical little shit, and his stupid celebration that he does after every goal whether it was a nice shot, or a deflection off his skate that he had no idea went in shows that to me (unless it's superstition).

But it may have saved us a little bit last night. I think on his opportunity in front of the net, going five-hole was a higher percentage shot, but Briere's instinct is to try and score on the "pretty" roof shot, a lower percentage shot and Miller ate him alive.
