IMO, he's the only player coming into game 7 that doesn't have the wear and tear of the previous 6 games in 12 days. So long as his leg is really healed, I'm going to call this game a Buffalo win.

Yeah but it's not like he was sitting on a coach eating potato chips and playing mortal combat for 6 months. He'll have a nice adrenaline high working for him too. Roy is going to be good for the Sabres.

He better not be sitting on a coach, that would be creepy.

I've had concussions, and female coaches are not creepy

Hm, I almost wonder if they shouldn't introduce him at this point in a series, that it might fuck up whatever momentum we have. Although if we have to replace TC that would work out.

I really wonder if he can bring it 'game speed', for game seven no less. I guess if you've got a Derek Roy you use him.

I'm thinking the exact same way. Even if Roy is more skilled than most of the team, this is a pretty tough spot to have to try a comeback. The stakes couldn't get much higher, and I know operating under pressure is not the easiest thing for me personally.

I think Roy coming back gives this team a huge mental boost, especially if he gets on the score sheet.

A series will quite often boil down to goaltending, and with Miller, I like our odds in game 7.

Plus Roy is going to be a marked man. He's more fragile than Vanek, both in size and just coming back from an injury. If Richards or one of his buddies can remove him from the game I am quite, quite sure they will. :(

Miller almost seems to be in a pattern where he's on his game one game, off his game the next. Please, please, please let game 7 be one where he's on.

I don't think Roy will be a factor in this game. I can't imagine that it is possible to come back after four months in game 7 and not be rusty. We all know the Flyers will try to hit him hard early in the game to fucxk him up again or at least to mess with his confidence.

But I agree that at this point with all the injuries you have to try everything, so at least they can't blame themselves for not trying. Roy should be a good and experienced enough hockey player to not be a liability out there.

the injury wasn't like a broken bone. i don't think you'll see him be fragile, but i don't think he'll hack 20 minutes ice time. most likely PP #2 and even strength.

Undersized men are probably used to perform under pressure. ;)

Agreed. Really the thing that could re-injure him most likely would be trying to skate really fast from a stop. I've had a very similar injury and I could swear I was fine in practice, and warmups, and just messing around, but when gametime came around and it was 'for real', I tried to put too much pressure on the muscle and reinjured it almost immediately.

Of course...i'm not a multi-millionaire pro athlete with a full squad of mofos who's entire purpose on earth is to make me better, so...

I've noticed that too. He does good for a period and a half and then let's in one then an avalanche of goals come against.

Hopefully Roy can have a BIG impact in tomorrows game because that's what we need.

That's called playoff mind fuckery. Keeping the Flyers guessing.
