The sad thing he won't be suspended. I can't stand how the fuck did Buffalo let these guys get back into this game with a 2 goal lead twice. It's almost fucking sickening.

The Flyers are good too.

Yes Flyers a good team but keeping 2+ goal leads during the regular season was a problem now it's continuing on into the Playoffs. Which sucks. We will probably be in front of a hostile Philly crowd for game seven hopefully Our boys can step it up.

With the Flyers, no 2 or even 3 goal lead early in the game is safe. For either team. I've felt that all series. It comes down to one game. Let's see what the boys can do.

Okay, now that I'm home I can talk about this a little more.

I was sitting in the third row from the glass just to the right of where Connolly was hit. I could see Richards' face clearly.

As soon as he saw Connolly turn his back, Richards' eyes lit up and he went right after him. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing. I couldn't believe it.

Timmy C drops a hit like that on Richards and he is barred from NHL play for the rest of his life. It goes for any sport though. You have NFL players performing felonies and getting minimal suspensions. All-star atheletes should not get preferential treatment.

That being said. The law of self-governance will go into effect next game. Don't think for one second that special attention will not be paid to Richards or any of their top tier guys. I am honestly surprised we didn't pull a Ottawa-esque move and send some of the tougher guys out there to send a message. The lack of balls on our end after that happened is what really surprised me.

This is nut up or shut up time. We have every right to use every excuse in the book and lay down and lose. They had that option earlier this year with Roy going down, I don't think they are going to start laying down now.

Jarret Stoll got 1 game for an almost identical play.

Not surprised, his effeminate voice brings Campbell's milkshake to the yard.

That's fine, Richard's sucks anyways, whoever they put in his place would probable be better. And there's always the possibility that I'll get to masturbate to replays of him convulsing on the ice with blood squirting out of his eyes.

But seriously, just win it for Connolly. That's how you make them suffer the most.

and that is why nothing will be done to Richards in game 7. Did anything happen to him after he intentionally elbowed Kaleta in the face?????? Uh nope...... Plus, that game is way too important than to get a little revenge on Richards. Winning and sending those douchebags to the links would be the ultimate punishment

So the league dropped the ball, yet again. Ok, time to move on from it. I can't spend any more time or energy on the hit because it is seriously making me want to punch someone in the neck.

Take this situation and use it as motivation that if the league isn't going to do anything about the on-ice situations, leave him in for game 7 so that when the Flyers skate off the ice after losing he can continue to complain about everything while shaking his head in disgust.

Also, should the Sabres take this tomorrow night, make sure that Pronger gets the losing game puck to put on his mantle next to the cup winning puck from last year.

I'm on a general Twitter hiatus, but I've been keeping an eye on James Mirtle's individual feed and he's not making any friends anytime soon with his views on the Richards hit. So far, he's called out the NHL for not calling hitting from behind majors and called out the dinosaur NHL pundits and fans who've said it shouldn't have been a penalty.

I love the idiots who thinks Richards gave Connolly a light push. He drove Connolly into the boards and didn't let up until Connollys' head had hit the boards. The only thing that save Tim from another concussion was that he was able to get his elbow out at the last second to protect himself. Unfortunately that is how he fucked up his shoulder.

BULLSHIT!!!

Fuck if it was Gaustad on Carcillo or something like that he would have gotten 2-3 games. This is pure BS.

Like we expected the NHL to do anything different.

Hopefully the Sabres can use this as motivation to play smart and hard.

I fully believe we will.
Saying that, it seems that the Flyers whining has effectively worked the referees. The officiating has been awful again. And shame on the NHL. I'm not surprised though. If this was Kaleta on Briere or something this would be like a 3 gamer.
