It was a damn fine goal. Kudos to you Max!

He left on good terms and spent what... 10 years with us? I for one am happy to see he's making it elsewhere and you could tell he was genuinely happy he pulled the goal off, and wasn't just happy to stick it to us. Though it sucks a big fat one that he got such a nice goal on us of all teams.

I neverwatched the game but saw the highlights and as soon as I saw Lalime in net I knew they lost, I am not blaming him but he's nw 2-12-1 in his Sabres career.

Anyways Max made Myers look 19 on that goal.

Oh come on, how can you not like this guy? He can barely get a sentence out in english, I don't really think he's the best BS artist out there. I have to believe he really does care about the fans.

I love that guy... Yeah, OK, he's not the best hockey player, and I was not sad to see him go because of that. Whatever. But he really did put his best into the game... I don't understand why he was booed for that, when he didn't even want to leave.

He needed to play for the team, not what he thought the fans wanted to see. He could never get that through his thick skull. Anyway, Myers looked like a statue on that goal. It was a fitting end to a night where Buffalo played crappy all around. Another stellar performance in support of Lalime.

While max's goal was both beautiful, and completely out of character for him (actually getting to the net and finishing, I mean) his multiple giveaways in our defensive zone, and his overall inability to keep the puck on his stick had me laughing my ass off thinking "and THAT is why you are no longer a member of this team max"

I have to admit, a small bit of me loved seeing him net that goal. It's hard to stay mad at this guy, and if our team had actually shown up last night, his one really good moment of the game wouldnt have mattered in the final outcome.

Me and NYIntensity said it after the isles game and got 'yelled' at for ruining the optimism, these guys most clearly have the lazy still in them, just because they had a nice streak does NOT mean there has been a wholesale attitude change in the locker room. Second period of isles game + most of atlanta game = big red flags.

Way to go Max!! I was so happy when you scored that goal, even though one could just feel the air being let out of the arena!! Your timing was perfect, as usual.!! Still love ya Max and best of luck always.

i was pissed that the thrash scored, but seeing it was max eased my pain. the fact that people booed him was disgusting. the dude always gave an honest efford, and he genuinely cared about the team and players. anyone who says otherwise are fools.
