Pegula. Lots of money in cap space. Buffalo becoming a place players want to come to. Great rookies and new players. I'm fucking pissed and drowning my Sabres sorrows in whiskey but next season looks to be A LOT better.

I wonder what he said to the ref after his bullshit penalty.

you mean after he swung his stick at the guy's legs like he was paul bunyan?

bullshit penalty my ass

The one he took on Zherdev, the puck was there and he was hitting the guy, hockey play.

Zherdev was already falling to the ice from Sekera in the first place.

yeah it might be a hockey play if the puck was Zherdev's kneecap.

that was just one of myers' retarded brainfarts this series.

edit: are you talking about the slashing or the interference? i'm talking about the slashing.

No matter what Myers would have done, Zherdev was falling to the ice. The puck was on the ice as it hit off of Myers foot. first and was bouncing to the net.

bottom line is that we let two leads slip away, had the series and butt boned it, let Philly take it to their barn and showed up with paper cups instead of beer mugs.

Amen, Game 6 was our game and we lost it, no way we could have won tonight with that loss.

It'll be interesting to see what we do with the defense;

Myers
Weber (RFA)
Gragnani (RFA)
Leopold
Morrisonn
Butler (RFA)
Sekera (RFA)
Montador (UFA)

5 young guys with an assload of potential (4 are RFA's), and 3 Vets.

We need to sign at least 1 stellar, shut-down d-man. I think we're set for puck movers (Myers, Grags, Rej, Leo)

We're just too young on the back-end, but there's enough talent there to keep us from blowing it up...

It was, I knew when we lost this coupled with the loss of Jason that we were in trouble today

If you're including Butler in your "assload of potential" I would like to have a conversation with you. I do like the rest though.

Ok. I know the one he retaliated with he should have kept his cool, can't remember which one you're talking about though, but yea, he took some boneheaded penalties, but to me it's being young and not keeping your cool.

Selecting our D-corp is a tough one.

Resign all but Monty and we can be set. If we sign a shut down guy, cut Morrisonn and sign Butler for 7th d duty.

I say for next year, Bring up Luke Adam the entire year for second line duty if we don't get a top tier center. So we'd have Roy, Adam, Goose, and Nieds as centers. I honestly would be fine with those centers going through.

WGR just said that Pommer's injury was a lot worse than they led us to believe. Stay tuned...

Not exactly striking fear into other teams. I really hope we nab a top center in July.

luke adam is slower than molasses in a january buffalo snowstorm. i doubt he's ever going to be better than a third liner in his career.

The problem is there is only 1 "top center" available as a UFA. Offer sheet, maybe?

Ya man, Myers absolutely killed in the playoffs. He's the only one that showed any promise in game 7. Next season he'll be one of the better D-Men in the league.
