Thanks, that's really sweet. But...only makes me a lot more sad. :(

Drinking my sorrows away at the local bar.

Our "good" players were not good enough.

It was a great season and a great series, but that Game 7 was just so disappointing... Looked like a regular season game.

How about the Sabres actually out hit the Flyers!

They really gave them hell. The Sabres were probably last in the NHL in Hits for the entire regular season, and they were not great at draws or blocked shots either. But they really corrected all of that for the playoffs!

Really amazing.

I was disappointed with the start to the game, and the defensive zone turnover monster was tormenting them. They just could not exit the zone with any kind of gusto. I don't know why, exactly, but when the Sabres play bad they absolutely cannot stop turning it over in the d-zone. :(

The series was lost in the 3rd period of Game 6. They had to win that period.

What fucking "good" players? Vanke is the best on our team and in the eyes of the league he's middle of the road. Yippee. (not including Miller)

I'm extremely proud of this team. They came back this season and took Philly to 7 games as well. They should have had it too. It's sad, but the pain will go away soon enough. I think it's going to be a great off season. Terry will get it done.

I agree. I thought after they blew 2 two goal leads in game 6 on home ice and then lose in overtime there is no-way they go to Philly and steal game 7. They won 2 in Philly and that was more than I thought they would win. I was so pissed after game 6 because I knew they wouldn't win in Philly in game 7. It would have been nice to beaten those fucking flyers. God I hate that team as much as the Leafs, Bruins and Canadians.

I still thought they would win Game 7 somehow, but Philly was unrelenting.

I can't possibly hate them more, but it's not gotten any easier too like them that's for sure. I guess the Sabres need to become more like the Flyers. When in Rome. They need a Powe (world class Diver) and a Richards (cheap shot artist who gives good head to NHL reps).

My whole thing is that I believe is it isn't easy for a team to go into another team's home building and win game 7 after winning 2 games in that building already. It's too much to ask for.

That's understandable, most teams that win game 6 and then go back to their rinks probably win that game too, I would guess it's about 70% of the time. You get the momentum plus the home crowd and the elimination adrenaline all working for you, so...

But you know Miller, you just knew he would bring his A game and he did. But sometimes it's like he's got to beat TWO teams at the same time. The Flyers, and the Sabres. I swear the Sabres are so in awe of him that they want to see how much they can get away with!

My whole thing is that I would just be happy to get past the Flyers and then face Washington. I think no-one beats Washington in the East this year. My pick Detriot and Washington for the Stanley Cup final.

That was it exactly, and I've noticed it throughout the entire series. Defense wins in the playoffs, and our D was way too inconsistent. Came through some games, although that was more Miller standing on his head. Our D wasn't matched for the Flyers' forwards, and it showed.

Game 7 was a huge let down. But I had a feeling the series was over when the game winner was scored in OT on Game 6. As we say every year, "Maybe next year" Except this time there is more to than that then just saying it. With Pegula on board, this team will improve. I just want to see it improve enough to win a cup while Miller is here. This team is only a few players away from being a top tier team that opposing teams need to really worry about.

This team was written off for dead at New Years. They made the push and made the playoffs. They have NOTHING to hang their heads over. Philly is a better team and they almost took them out.

Next year!
