You made a comment complaining about his 'unsolicited opinion' of what you wrote. Does he have to get permission from you to respond in a way which you approve?

If you're unwilling to have someone respond to you in a way you dislike, the best option is not to post at all.

Nice job missing the point. again.

I mentioned that his opinion was unsolicited to indicate that HE was the one who came after ME. I didnt go after him, I simply stated that i'm not yet ready to say 'thanks sabres', and he came and started shit with me. If you actually wanted to 'moderate' someone, it should have been the person starting shit, not the person responding.

One could easily argue that by coming into a thread entitled 'Thank You Sabres' and making a post about how you aren't ready to thank them is starting shit too.

He didn't 'start anything' with you. He responded to your post with a little snark, which isn't exactly uncommon around here. Was pretty tame in my book.

It was kind of like where somebody did something wrong, something stupid, and everybody's coming in and patting the guy on the back, even though that guy knows he did wrong, there's people standing behind him.

Then some guy comes in and says that you blew it big time and that they're really pissed off and that they're not worth giving a pat on the back.

It might be too soon for you, but not for others. At the same time, you're entitled to your opinion, just like I'm entitled to dislike that opinion and tell you about it.

Honestly, fine, all that you've said above is perfectly reasonable. Why didnt you START the discussion with that, instead of ending with it? This all would have been avoided if not for some bullshit remark about the maturity level of a post. Vanek_Fanatic, I dont know you at all, I dont think we've ever talked, but I dont respond well to being attacked for basically no reason.

Again, totally agree. And quite frankly I thought we were done with our snarking, you said something, I said something, you said 'and good morning to you too' and I was going to leave it at that, letting you have the 'last word' as it were. Then tom had to come in here and throw gas on a fire which was pretty much out.

I didn't just throw gas on the fire for my health.

I was responding to a reported post.

But don't worry. Since you get so butthurt by my mere presence, I'll simply put your posts on ignore so I don't run the risk of offending your noble sensibilities in the future.

For everyone being cockbags in this thread, I was referencing the Sabres being eliminated by a powerful Habs team back in the day. Clearly outmatched and on their way toward tee time, the fans in the Aud started cheering "Thank you, Sabres".

Phil, in my now coffee fueled, slightly more distance from the loss state...I can say that this thread was a nice sentiment. Congratulations on getting over the loss relatively fast. Sorry to have come in here and messed up the joint, that was not my intent.

Eat a dick. You're really going to go there mother fucker?

I moved out of my parents home the summer before my senior year. While all of my friends were enjoying the last best year of their childhood, I was working 30 hours a week to pay rent.

In college, I started off fine, but then had to find a new place to live because the people letting me stay with them were having another child. I had to work 48 to 60 hour weeks to pay my bills, and my school performance suffered to the point where I had to drop out of school.

I had to bust my fucking ass to work out of that situation. I sucked it up, worked my ass off, and when I was able to, I went back to finish my AS. In the meantime, I've built TWO datacenters from the ground up, and merged the network operations of 3 companies in 8 different states into one place.

Yeah, I'm a real fucking idiot.

Fuck you. You don't know a fucking thing about me or what I've gone through in my life. And you're going to make a a comment like THAT over an internet disagreement? Fuck off.

I'm now going to abuse my mod powers and not feel bad about it for a single fucking second. I refused to be talked down to like I'm some low life piece of shit.

So...remember when the Sabres played like 5 overtime games in a row and won most of them?

That was awesome.

How about I list some of the things I learned from this series.

1. Tyler Ennis and Nathan Gerbe are for real.
2. Tyler Myers doesn't always play his best hockey when he's pissed off.
3. "Home ice advantage" doesn't really mean very much.
4. Danny Briere is so fucking clutch it's not funny.
5. Chanting "Booooooucheeeeeee" both the times he was brought in as the 2nd goalie was stupid on my part.

i HATE goalie chants, maybe i need to get off of my high horse, but i'd rather our fans cheer for our team than taunt the other

I am ALL ABOUT serenading the opposing goaltender, but Boucher had at least a .933 SV% the entire series. Not exactly the serenading type.

People comment on heart like every loss is simply a matter of the players not playing hard enough. I don't believe for a second that these guys don't want it bad. The looks on their faces after the game and the fact that players are always in their stalls crying when they're eliminated makes me have no desire to question their heart.

Both times I serenaded Boucher he had just been put in the game, and in hindsight, I shouldn't have been happy either time since he played so well. Basically I was doing the chant because their goalie situation was so fucked-up and Boucher was an easy target because his name works so well in the Bronx cheer. It's up there with Hextall and Joseph in that regard.
