Yeah, I'm not sure what it is, but I have this strange affinity for Nashville. Really would like to see them succeed. Also, I miss J.P. Dumont. And I always like to see the regular season beasts get ousted in the playoffs. Knocking Ottawa out in '06 was sweet as pie.

When the WJC was in Halifax, Tara was working at Subway at the time. Canada was on their way from Sydney NS to Halifax and they stopped in our shitty little town where she made Tootoo's sub. Neat tidbit of info.

That and I want to see Weber launch a rocket right through Lolongo's chest are my reasons for wishing for them to win this series.

Both teams playing the feel-out game so far. Something tells me the first goal on either side is going to open this one up like a bad can of tuna. And with the Canucks getting the first PP of the game, there's a good chance it's them taking the first lead.

Go Preds!

Kesler completely gloving the puck along the end boards is a bitch move. He's lucky the referee decided to yell at him to stop instead of blowing the whistle.

I hear ya Ham. I miss Dumont as well. Another likable guy on their roster is Steve Sullivan. I think my fav moment of his was when he was in Chicago, a fan was giving it to him about being hit in the face right by the glass. Later in the play, He nets 2 shorthanded goals on the same PK, and later on the puck somehow squirted out of play (I think through the camera hole) and bopped the guy right in the head splitting him open. Sully skates over to him and makes all matter fun of him. The guy's wife is laughing her hole off too.

Edit: Foung the vid

Preds are winning the physical side of the game thus far big time.

That includes the forecheck...Canucks can't pull the Preds off the puck.

Word.

It's like the Preds have velcro on their sticks.

Side note, Rinne is playing some solid so far eh? He's been tested in close a few times already.

Holy shit! A Matts Sundin sighting!

Rinne's glove is weird. On some angles instead of gloving it sideways-like, he spears his glove out to snare the puck. It's STUPID fast and he has as tight a grip as I've ever seen, but it's weird.

Too true. It's like he's trying to bitch slap the puck with his hand. Or punch it out Mike Tyson style.

Gatta say, Canucks got shafted there. That was a classic Hipcheck that Bobby Baun or Brad Park would have been proud of.

Edit: Second look at that, he did get more of Tootoo's knees. I can see that as being a clipping call now..
