I don't know why you came into a thread whose intent was to be celebratory of the death of a terrorist to complain about something Obama said (whether the gripe is legitimate or not). Seems off topic at the very least. I think that's the problem that a lot of people have.

It's because he gets a raging erection from picking internet fights. Drop an obviously baited comment into the conversation, sit back and then make chippy remarks to anyone who responds. It's all on purpose. Standard Cross. Fuck it, should have seen it coming.

Yeah for sure.

Sometimes it's nice to get the perspective of someone from an opposing viewpoint, especially someone who is often relatively informed.

Others, such as this, it's just a blatant off topic remark waving around political beliefs that everyone is already aware of.

Actually, he is correct, if he heard the same news report I did. Some poor schlub out there actually reported that Obama gave a speech detailing how Barack Obama was dead. Don't know the source, just heard it on the radio.

No one legitimately disagreed with my point though, just went off on me for being a hater.

No, Hitler died on April 30th....it just wasn't reported until May 1st.

That would be a couple local Fox affiliates.

Lol. No, this must have been a different one. And I doubt it will be the last.

No, what I heard was a report that went something along the lines of "President Obama spoke to the nation last night to say that Barack Obama was dead." Don't recall the exact wording of it.

Luke Russert's tweeting that Bin Laden used his wife as a human shield. She died as well.

I'm not sure I believe it, either; if everything happened as quickly as it likely did, memories wouldn't be very exact. Just disseminating the information. :P If it's confirmed from more sources later, then perhaps.

well, i think we as americans want to believe the absolute worst about bin laden. perhaps to justify his death even further. im just not so sure i believe that bin laden, the mastermind behind 9/11, was a cowardly little bitch who de-valued his wives life to that degree.

on the other hand, it is the middle east. different world, so who knows.

i went to bed happy for a resolution to this, but when i awoke, i realized that i have been celebrating the death of a fellow human being. and it made me really feel like shit. perhaps he deserved it, but as someone who doesnt believe in capital punishment, celebrating his death made me feel like a bad person. i would much rather celebrate his capture.

Sorry about my typo. Anywhos, why is Fox news reporting that some Usama guy is dead. If they would just type it in Google, they'd see "did you mean Osama". I'm not going to get into any conspiracy here, but it's awful strange they're doing this. With Khadaffy it's random, but I'm pretty sure there's a 95% consensus on Osama.

That is indeed the official US government position as stated by John Brennan the White House counterterrorism advisor

http://blog.foreignpolicy.com/posts/201 ... conference

Quote:
Bin Laden reportedly used a woman as a human shield to protect himself during the firefight.

Quote:
bin Laden wife was positioned as a shield and "met her demise" during U.S. raid

So you use a washed up, nasty old lady to shield yourself from getting to the shit-boat of beautiful virgins? I hope all his followers are smart enough to catch onto the irony here before they buy that shit line.

He was not a fellow human being. He was a monster who directly ordered to murder of hundreds of thousands of innocent people all over the world. He also exploited the religious fervor of impressionable young men and sent them off to their deaths to further his own personal agendas.

This was a man who deserved death.

Honestly, I feel zero empathy for the death of this man. 10 years later and I'm still hot about Manhattan / DC / Penn. He had this coming, and it had to be done.
