Anyone else really surprised with the Washington/Tampos and Detroit/San Jose series? What the hell is happening...hahaha!

I am kind of surprised with Detroit but I am not with Washington. Washington is getting beat with the same exact system Montreal beat them with last year.

Yikes! Detroit is fucked big time. Down 3-0...Setoguchi's shot had 100 eyes!

Gatta say I was fooled in this series. I figured the know-how of the wings would be enough to pull them past the Sharks. I know there is (at least) one more game to be played, but the Sharks just have this swagger on the ice that they're not about to let Detroit back in the series.

I can't wait to laugh at my friend who is a Wings fan.

At least the Sabres played in 7 games in a series, and didn't get swept. *Crosses fingers*

Red Wings advanced to the second round. Your dickery is invalid.

detroit announcer and occasional versus broadcaster, ken daniels, who usually hides his bias well, didnt during the OT game winner. you could hear the disappointment in his voice. hes a great broadcaster so i felt for him.

micky redmond on the other hand, was a cranky asshat. but thats the norm for him.

We have still played the same amount of games. ;)

I just want to laugh at him, because he doesn't know too much.

as daz said, being a hockey fan isnt for experts only. there was a time you were new to the game, and didnt have a clue about what was going on. same for me, same for phil, same for everyone.

bragging about someones team bowing out in the second round, when yours lost in the first, is seriously dirty pool.

That's why I don't look down on the bandwagoner. They're just new fans with room to grow if shown what's up. For example, I took my friend Amber from being into hockey for the hits and fights to learning the Bolts' depth chart and prospects on her own.

Just gotta guide the raw material.

I take comfort in teams I don't like in getting eliminated...

I never said he was a new fan of the game. I said he doesn't know much about what he spews.

OK, that sounds like a bandwagoner. Like I said, educate him.

But still, his team advanced and your team did not.

You try to tell him anything and he doesn't listen. I gave up on him. Reason I gave up trying to always tell him what he is doing wrong while actually playing hockey also.

And Phil. He's a wings fan they are expected to be a contender every year our team wasn't even expected to be in the playoff position in January. We lost to a team that was a favorite to win the cup this year in 7 games. I would take more pride in a team that fought all adversity like the sabres over a team that has made the playoffs 20 straight years or however many they have going for them.
