I don't know if Shero is running that team or Lemieux, why on earth would they want A THIRD guy to run the power play from the RW boards?! They can't make 2 ego-driven stars happy, and they want to bring in the biggest ego in hockey? Doesn't make sense to me, but reading about how messed up their locker room is every week would be very funny. Kovy looked like a fish out of water in Bylsma's system, but Jagr would look like a beached whale.

Shero either looks really smart to me, or really dumb. It's always one extreme or the other.

I would love to see jags back in the NHL.

I would like to see Jagr play with Sid though...that could be fun to watch.

I don't think Jagr likes Sid, so I agree that it would be extremely entertaining if they played together.

They will always be desperate for wingers, which is why they will always flip flop Malkin from center to wing like Detroit does with Zetterberg. Of course he would be a massive offensive upgrade over pretty much all of their wingers combined, Jagr could still score 80 points in the NHL in the right situation. But the Pens are not the right situation, Bylsma's system is too boring for Jagr, he would just laugh at the coach and go out and do what it is hard wired in his hockey DNA to do. And he would spend all of his free time telling Malkin and Crosby how to play. They already got one alpha wolf too many on that team. But most importantly, he's not going to give up 9 million in tax free salary just so he can play for Pittsburgh. He is going to want at least 6 million, and that's about 4 million more than the Penguins can swing.

Jagr to Buffalo? lol sorry I'm trolling. But would he even work here?

I know but it inevitably leads to return talk. I should retract my statement about Shero however, I failed to comprehend the nature of his return.

Hell yeah, I suggested it before this season as well. Jagr would be a HUGE boost to this team, he could take the reigns and be the man.

Vanek-Ennis-Jagr
Stafford-Roy-Pomminville
Gerbe-Hecht-Boyes
Kaleta-Gaustad-McCormick

I'll punch any man who dares to tell me that group doesn't have Stanley Cup confidence.

With Vanek in front and Jagr setting up shop on the RW boards, their power play would own. IT WOULD OWN.

There's been lots of talk about Jaromir Jagr and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday. Ray Shero is at Worlds to talk to him. This initial Canadian Press report has been linked all over. Somehow this line has escaped people: "Pittsburgh's interest in reconnecting with Jagr is purely about ensuring his long-term legacy with the team rather trying to bring him back to North America as a player." He wants Jagr to appear at a golf tournament.

yeah I kind of glossed over that too, but that's only because jagr talk happens a lot here in pitt. every single summer people want to talk about jagr returning and it doesn't take a quote or two taken out of contents to get it started. sure enough, radio shows have been all a buzz about him actually returning to the team today.

generation sid fans will never embrace jagr, they would rather chop him down to make sid look bigger and in a few years they will do the same to lemieux. all the good fans are been phased out by this douche bag generation.

Jagr played his best years in Pittsburgh. He was on two Stanley Cup championship teams and was the second most important player for the organization in the 1990s.

If Jagr returns to Pittsburgh, there would be positive reaction in the Penguins world. He can still play. His play in Balysma's system is unknown. What the Penguins want to do tops any return of Jagr to the organization.

It will be exciting to see Jagr play over here again.

Maybe we can try this in another thread that isn't blatantly false propaganda.
