Going to see a show at Darien Lake in June. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations as far as camping goes. We plan on going into the theme park that day and then the show later on.

you can rent the RV's there, but they'll be packed. you can also camp at the darien lake state park. hotels in in batavia are close too.

My younger brother just got a job there working the concerts/shows. I can ask him.

I camped there one weekend in high school in one of the RV's. Being that I'm 8 years removed from high school (OH FFS), things may be a bit different now.

How close is the state campground to the actual venue and theme park? Walking distance?

The campground in the state park is on the west side, and it's an almost 4 mile walk from the campground entrance to the amphitheater.

Best concert ever!!! Except Ginger wasn't there so I never got to see her and she was my favorite.

I camped there once with a tent and everyone else had RVs. This lady next to use kept her light on all night and then she came out to yell at us for being too loud so I said, "Could you turn off your light?" and she said, "If you be quiet I will." and then she did like 5 minutes later.

show off. haha. i still remember how muddy it was that day and complaining to my sister i was ruining my platform sketchers. oh man. platform sketchers. horrible.

Hahaha I remember how rainy/muddy it was too. I also remember that during intermission the line to the bathroom was sooo long and I really had to go so I peed behind a t-shirt stand.

PLATFORM SKETCHERS OMG! I fucking loved those things. I can't seem to find a picture on Google images that does them justice, either.

I hate myself for admitting to wearing them, but they were the closest thing to those ridiculous shoes the Spice Girls always wore. At least I told myself that.
