Which numbers have you worn? Which numbers do you like? Do you have 'a number?' Why did you pick that number?

I've worn 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 16, and 26.

My personal preferences would be 6, 11, and 26.

4 and 26 were assigned to me.

I liked 3 because it's lucky, ditto 9.
Wanted 16 at one point for Joe Montana.
Wanted 8 for Cal Ripken jr.
Chose 11 for intramural football because I played both WR and QB.
Chose 7 because my gf at the time wore it.
Chose 6 for hockey because of Jaro Spacek, and I think it and 4 were the only numbers left.

I liked 81 as a kid being obsessive compulsive. Three is good, three threes is better, and nine nines is best.

26 is my favorite number. I like writing it. When I bought my first Sabres jersey, I wanted to get #26, but that was when Derek Plante wore that number, and I just never liked him. I got myself a 26 jersey years later when the current Sabre who wears that number gave 26 a new start.

98.

Not because it's close to Gretzky. I just like that number for whatever reason.

I've only worn 4 and 12. 12 was given to me on my hockey team and it stuck with me. I didn't care really.

I picked four for my other hockey team as I'm a defensemen, and I wanted to channel my inner Bobby Orr, plus I was the best skater on that team so I did carry the puck up the ice a bit.

If I had to pick a number, who knows what I'd actually pick though, I like 4 because of the reason stated above. But I'd want an obscure number that no one ever sees in hockey.

Whenever I've played sports, I usually choose either 2 or 12, if 2 is already taken. Two is my favorite number, so yeah.

you also forgot lou gehrig...

Ive worn alot of numbers through baseball and floor hockey. oddly enough, in hockey it was always 1, or 2 since they put the low numbers on the bigger jerseys and in baseball it was always 24-27 since they did it the opposite. If i have a choice my number, if allowed, is 0. why? for Martin Biron of course. :D

17- My favorite number, and it was my number this year for my primary house team.
20- It was my number for anther team this year for my select hockey team.
18- Someone picked 17, so I went with 18 this year for spring house hockey.
13- My number last year.
Yes, I've been on 3 hockey teams this year. :)

15. Always was my sports number in Highschool except for one year of baseball when a Senior took it to piss me off. Nbd. But yeah 15 has always been my number, I like some sports players who have that number too like Dustin Pedroia from the Red Sox. etc etc.

I wore #3 for most of my high-school lacrosse career and #27 in college.

My brothers both wore #23 and I think my sister did as well.

Now, it doesn't really matter too much to me.

I like to wear 17 or 23. If I can't get either of those, then I take 83.

14 or 18, every time. since i was 8.

in rugby though you don't get to pick a number...your number is decided by the position you play.
