I seem to recall him as trying too hard. He was ALWAYS talking, non-stop, trying to get in every little bit of the play. I wish he was talking a bit slower, leaving some of the bits out. When he talks so fast I have trouble picturing the play. I need to be able to form mental pictures to match the words....

In the old 70's highlights, listen to RJ's voice. His voice was never as grating as MJ's.

hmm, also microphones have changed a ton since then, so i think my argument is pretty shitty now.
