Torres is a really good player, it seemed he just didn't fit in with our system.

CBC is pro Canuck, and NBC is pro Bruin, but I think NBC sounds worse to me. It's that blowhard Milbury slanting everything toward Boston, or just how annoying Emrick and McGuire are all the time. They cause to mute my TV by the 3rd period. Then I turn the sound back on to listen to them whine about Boston losing.

Side notes - Vancouver is proving how solid defensively they really are. Thomas has made some really good saves, but that doesn't make up for his typical lack of positioning which led to both goals by Burrows. Unless Boston starts to tighten up a little, I think Vancouver will start to pour it on in the next few games. I expect Boston to get every benefit of the doubt from the officials the next two games. Both for some Burrows guilt and the usual effort to keep it close. Vancouver will score more 5-on-5 but Boston will keep getting more PPs, so I look to see some high scoring games but still close.

Well I am watching game 3 on NBC even if they are pro Bruin, other than seeing Don Cherry and Ron MacLean CBC sucks ass.

Well he was used wrongly (is that a word?) here in Buffalo, he was used on the second line in Buffalo but in Vancouver he is used in the right spot. Plus he is on a team that is loaded so he doesn't have to be relied on.

It might not make a difference tonight, but so far in the 2nd period...

Ehrhoff got high-sticked right at the puck, no call and Boston scored under a minute later.

At the beginning of a Vancouver PP, Sedin had his stick chopped out of his hands near the puck, no call and Marchand scored his shorty less than a minute later.

Alberts (or another d-man) got blatently tripped while with the puck at his own end boards causing a TO, no call and Boston scored about 90 seconds later.

I just saw the replay of the Rome hit. His shoulder never hit Horton's head, it was a shoulder to chest check.

Do hope Horton is ok, after the finals is over.

He was on the second line here for about 1/2 a game. I distinctly remember people whining because Ruff juggled the lines and bumped him down.

He was ineffective offensively, so Ruff figured he could get him going by establishing his physical game. When he sucked at that, he spent some time in the 4th line, and then the press box. Torress didn't want to be here, and just wanted to play out the string and get his next deal.

EDIT: Also good to see you guys are still blaming late hits on the receiver. Way to be!

The hit really was a a head hit but Rome jumped at Horton. He should get suspended but with how this league is scared to suspend players I would not be surprised to see him not be.

Also people who are saying it's Horton fault for this is a moron, just like I said on the WGR Facebook page.

I think if Boston wins game 4 Vancouver might not win another game in this series. Plus 7uongo looked like he did back in the Chicago series again.

Early report this morning on fan 590 out of toronto says Horton is out for the rest of the series. I just saw a slow motion of the hit and the AHL goon Rome went right after his head.

Come on NHL give him the rest of the playoffs and 10 more next year to send a message because these guys are not getting it

While Horton was admiring the pass, that hit was way out of line. It was way late and was by no means "finishing a check."

Bruins have confirmed a severe concussion, and that he's done for the series.

No surprise Horton is done. He'll be lucky to be in game shape by October. No, it wasn't a blindsind hit, but it was definitely late to an unsuspecting player. Rome should be out for the series, anything less isn't fair. I can honestly say that, even though I'm secretly happy that Horton got killdozered. He and Lucic have acted like assholes a whole bunch during these playoffs. Doesn't mean Horton deserved that injury though. NHL better drop the hammer, even if Rome doesn't have a history.

The NHL has failed so bad this series.

They borked the Burrows om-nom-nom, then let the finger in the face taunts go in game two, leading to more of the same nonsense in game three.

They should have handed out unsportsmanlike penalties to stop the finger taunting early, but they let it go, and it's only going to get worse now.
