In my opinion Rome should get a big suspension. The hit was so late it was barely on the same shift as the pass. If they suspend Rome just for the series it's a great trade for the Canucks and people will do it again just to get rid of the better players.

He should get 10 games...it was a tad late, but since he hit him NFL Blitz style, the league needs to step up.

4 games it is, rest of the series.

If you use playoff math, that's about 10 regular season games.

I think he should have gotten more than 4, he should sit out some games to start next year as well

Considering the time of he year, I think Tom is right. 4 playoff games is like 8-10 condensed. I don't think he should sit any time for this hit next season, though. It's not like he went Bertuzzi or McSorley on Horton's ass. Nasty/late hit though, for sure.

I agree with the rest of the playoffs.

It's been reported that the suspension would carry over if the finals went less than 7. I can live with that too.

Which is basically saying "We screwed up so no more making us look bad!"

I want the nucks to win but I was proud as a general hockey fan for how the Bruins reacted. They stood up for their players and played an emotional game.

Also Paille, Lucic and Krejci did some work tonight.

Both of these teams have tons of depth.

Thanks jesus! I'm getting tired of seeing this garbage. It's starting to look like the WWE's Mankind on the ice trying to ram his fingers down the other player's throat!

He got 4 games. In the playoffs. Rest of the season. Would have gotten more if more games were available.

WHY DON'T THEY DO THIS MORE OFTEN?

The game tonight is starting out hot. BIG hits by Lucic and Paille.

That said, go Canucks.

Vancouver has scored 5 goals in twelve periods and eleven seconds of OT.

Also, Luongo's save percentage against the Blackhawks when pretty much everyone thought he should sit: .885

Luongo's save percentage against the Bruins so far: .887

There was a lot of shit before that, that Burrows was giving Boston players. Borrows had it coming, so far Thomas hasn't let the chippy nature get to him, as we saw in game 4.

I think Thomas doing it was a direct response to Burrows slashing his stick out of his hand

Boston from head to toe (except maybe Kaberle) is on a tear right now. The PK team and the defense core has been outstanding the last 2 games. Add that with the best goalie in the NHL right now and they're doing good things.

Still want the Canucks to win though.
