I think "The Peggys" would be a great name for them.

Winnipeg may have uniform issues...

With a general manager in place, Winnipeg can turn its attention to the bench ... though another practical matter is squeezing the franchise on the clock. According to former Oilers equipment man Barrie Stafford, NHL teams routinely put in their orders for new sweaters, jackets for coaches, and sundry other equipment for the next season with the league supplier Reebook in January and finalize things as soon as the season ends, which puts the new Winnipeg franchise in scramble mode. They don't have a nickname, don't have a logo, don't have team colors and it's already mid-June. Reebok uses a factory in China and delivery of the stuff to teams is often slow.

So, you think they wear the old Thrasher's jerseys until the new ones arrive?

This would lead me to believe it will be easier for them to just call themselves the Moose since they likely still have a retarded amount of Moose stock at the MTS Centre. Easier/faster/cheaper to just remove the AHL logo's from the current Moose jerseys and have the NHL shield sewn into the neck line.

Actually, we know AudSabres can put together a totally legit jersey. They should give him the contract!

Hahaha, I think I'll leave the designing of the jerseys to Woz and take the production gig. :P

As much as I think Brian Burke has his head up his ass most of the time, I think he's right with this one:

"I think Winnipeg could have sold the building out three times. The challenge isn't the first five years," Burke said. "What I've said is I believe in the marketplace, but everybody in Winnipeg has to support this team. It's far from over with the fact that they sold the building out in two minutes or 10 minutes. The first five years is the easy part, that's the low-hanging fruit. It's harder if you're in Year 5 and the team hasn't won a championship and you're renewing all those things. That's the test."

We'll see I suppose.

I don't know why, but I can't wait to find out what their name will be and what their jerseys will look like. I feel like a kid who didn't get what he wanted for Christmas! C'mon Winnipeg, the suspense is killing me!

That's because they don't have a name, logo, or jerseys and won't before the draft. Their picks are getting a generic league jersey.

Apparently on the (un)official Winnipeg Jets facebook page, Scott Morrison has said they have a name/logo and are working on the merchandise atm but will not release any info as to keep it from the companies who make the fake RBK jerseys and whatnot.

Myself, I think you’ll see them handing out NHL all star jerseys from this year to the players drafted by the Winnipeg Thrashjetmoosers’.
