it makes a lot of sense, actually. ov was growing up in russia right around the time mogilny
was in buffalo. id bet there was a lot of russian kids that idolized him and what he did by leaving to play- thus becoming sabres fans.

This is how I remember him as...he used to play hockey with my brother and even back then, when obviously I really didn't have much knowledge of professional hockey, it was just so obvious how much better he was than everyone on the ice. I remember all the kids would be like, "Pat is gonna be in the NHL some day!!" It was a cool day when he got drafted because it immediately made me think of those ~memories~.

Yeah, yeah I know...cool story braaaaah.
