Might not be 13 but 10-12 range might be right, No center depth at all now. It also makes me think that Richards and Carter might have pissed management off if they were traded.

Philly is probably not done, and will address center with a trade involving the extra picks they now have, or through FA.

As for Brad Richards, I wouldn't waive my NTC either. Why take away from the team you might go to?

Do they enough space to go after anyone though?? It seems to me they basically filled all the money with the dumb bryzagalov contract, getting schenn, Simmonds and voracek

They saved about 1.5 or so million after all is said and done today. Add in the extra cap room and they should have about 4 mil to work with. Of course they may want to re-sign Leino, but they have options (not Brad Richards though).

Their Centers are also EXTREMELY small now.

Yeah, they're still really solid. They still have Briere, Giroux, and van Riemsdyk. I wonder if Briere's numbers will go up to his career high with Buffalo now that Carter and Richards aren't there?

Why? This is the 06-07 Sabres part II. Except the Sabres scored 308 goals when they were good, not 259. Philly is not in good shape for the following seasons. 2-3 seasons down the road if Schenn is what people think he will be, but not next year.

they addressed goaltending issues, they got a proven, but young player in voracek, and simmonds can produce as well.

gotta figure voracek will continue to improve as well.

their success could also hinge on if leino comes back as well.
