166th pick - Nathan Lieuwen, G. Former McNabb teammate, Chynoweth Cup MVP this last season. Overager. May go right to Rochester.

I like it.

I bet if Tesink was still around they would have picked him.

Nathan Lieuwen is a sick choice. Seen him play a couple of times. Played Jr.A for the Westside Warriors and as Phil mentioned played in the dub for Kootenay. A project but the kids oozes potential.

He adds some zip to his glove hand and he'll be a great goaltender in the AHL

I really like our draft.

and I don't get how people were saying this was a weak draft. Last year was weak.

Didn't like Armia at first, but it's about time the Sabres took on a true prospect with high reward possibilities. Been emailing a Finnish hockey writer who gave me his scouting report on Armia, I'll post it later to my blog.

I like Catenacci, love Jacobs, meh on Lepkowski, love Lieuwen, and am astounded by Navin.

Also, this year Sabres went for size AND skill. This pleases me.

The fact that we took 3 centers makes my dislike the Armia pick less, but I'm not sold on him...

Ehhh, instead of those late rounder centers, I would've gone with Zack Phillips, Mark McNeill, or at least have gotten Tyler Biggs....

I honestly think Jacobs will be better than Biggs. I think Biggs will bust

Ohhh, don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Jacobs pick, I'm just not very fond of the Armia pick.

I think Armia's value at where he sat on the board was too much to leave open.

We have drafted a Euro in years. I love it.
