One assessment of Armia is Vanek if he pans out and Kotalik if he doesn't. I'm OK with that right now.

From everything I've read aboiut him it seems to me Armia might have been a top 5-7 pick had he been a canadian kid comin out of the OHL. I love the pick and look forward to seein him in Rochester in a year or two

Armia looks like a good kid. Needs to improve his english but I am excited about him. Catenacci looks like a snakey guy from what I saw in the interview. Jacobs is definitely a kid I like. Was legitimately speechless and genuinely excited to have been picked by us.

I watched a video on Joel Armia on youtube and the kid has incredible hands and moves. I hope he pans out because some of these moves are impressive!

Armia is very humble, very soft spoken and his english is not very good. Just by chance i was going to the Bathroom and low and behold Armia was walking back to his seat. I introduced myself and talked to him for a couple minutes. I asked him if he considered playing in the CHL next year to which he gave a political answer. I asked him if he thought he would make the team next season (same type of answer, political).

From what i saw at the WJC, he was stuck on the 4th line for finland. As we all know the 4th line is not usually counted on for goals. He was selected to play for Finland when he was 16. He was not the best at defense but showed the willingness to attempt to play defense (this means with time he can learn). his hands are quick and he possesses a good shot. Every shot he took at the juniors made the goalie work.

My seat was right across the stairs from Nathan Beaulieu and i spent a good time trying to get him laugh cause he was definitely sweating in his suit. Kept telling him "Hey it's not so Bad you could end up in Buffalo and end up having the best fans." It pissed off the philly kid and the jersey kid in front of me but they were assholes anyway. For a professional program that SMWW is these kids did not represent well. Hounding players and using no respect. Some of you may have seen me when he got drafted i kind of got up than sat back down as Nathan went the other direction.
