No rumor, just using my logic. Spezza is the Sens' only good center and Alfie is likely retiring after this season, Stastny is part of the three-headed center monster in Denver with Duchene and O'Reilly, and Brad Richards will likely get snagged up by the Rangers after the Sabres drive up the price, Oshie is largely untested, and Stamkos will have any offer sheet matched by Stevie Y.

Meanwhile, with Big Joe and Marleau as 1 and 2 in San Jose and Logan Couture possibly emerging as a monster in his own right, Pavelski may just be a victim of San Jose's depth and be available for good assets.

Wow man you've really thought this through. Pavelski would be a good pick up but is he #1 centerman quality?

No, he'd be a #2 guy and Roy would remain number one center here

We'd have depth for sure.

Erhoff's rights are allegedly being offered before he hits the market July 1st. Should the Sabres get in on that or wait till he hits the market and go after him or Wisnewski?

It seems to me July 1st is so close, maybe waiting would be best so as not to throw away an assets. Or maybe that 2nd in 2012 we got in the Regher trade could be of some use here?

I like the idea of Wisniewski over Ehrhoff. Offensive game is similar, but I like Wiz's shot and muscle more.

Best on-ice taunt ever? It's up there with Petey's golf swing.

Schopp and the Bulldog were talking about trading Roy this afternoon. (Ignoring the fact that this team is light on centers, and Roy is a center...) I betcha that's where this came from

No way Darcy offers that trade. Roy is , I hate to say it, a steal at $4M.

Blech, hell no. I would gizz myself if Darcy pulled off a trade for Pavelski or Stastny

I think an argument could be made for Pavelski to be #1 and Roy #2. I almost always base my opinion of players on if they've impressed me during the playoffs, and Pavelski has done that. Roy may put up more points, but it's quite possible Joe has more determination. This team is finished looking for duds(ty TP), and I'm not insinuating Roy is a dud. I'm just saying he has yet to make me believe he could be an integral part of a cup team.

As for Spezza for Zach/Roy, I would be surprised if it was flatly rejected. In fact, that sounds like the kind of starting point Ottawa would be loving. Save cash during rebuilding w/o sacrificing much in production. It also secures size on their top 2 lines for the next 10 years.

That rumour about spezza smells of bull shit or a Eklund douche rumor. But if it's true I want to see someone else other the BZK in that trade.

Why in the world would Buffalo trade Kassian this team has needed a big skilled forward like him for how many years now. If they trade anyone it should be some of the young d-man they have coming. We have plenty to give up.
