The Buffalo #Sabres have agreed to terms on a multi-year contract with RFA forward Nathan Gerbe.

wonder how much a raise he got/how many years his deal will be.
glad gerbs will be back though. his heart and drive would be missed if he wasn't part of this team.

Edit: SATW: resign -> re-sign

Very pleased about having him on the roster.

Sometimes it's not the size of the player, but the size of their heart.

Hey kids, peep these terms: 3 years, cap hit of 1.433M (years per WGR, money per Bob McKenzie)

I'm glad that Gerbe is re-signed he was one of my favorite Sabres. I'm hoping he continue's where he left off at the end of last season. He looks really determined to be a difference maker. Man I'm looking forward to this Friday and god it's sure is nice that Pegula owns this team. Wow has the time changed. It's great to be a Sabres Fan!!!!!

That's a pretty good looking deal for all parties

I wonder if we now see other RFA's in Enroth, Weber, Sekera and MAG all sign

He's still RFA at the end of the deal as well. Big win.

OK time to be a dick. There is a colossal difference between "resign" and "re-sign".

:)

This is a really good signing by Darcy. I think the Sabres will get good value for the money.

Just get the feeling this kid's turned a corner and has figured out how to play at an NHL level. I don't expect him to start out on the tear he went on at the end of the season, but I expect him to have a much better first half than he did last year.

Also keep this in mind...if we do land a top line center, Gerbe will be a favorable matchup against just about any team's 2nd and 3rd D-parings.

Wait, so this isn't about Gerbe quitting hockey for 3 years?

I have been waiting for just the right player to get stitched on the jersey. Time to finally pull the trigger. Gerbacity is going to take the nation by storm.

Having Gerbe out on the ice and laying a big boom on another player is more motivation to the team then any single fight that could take place. Seeing that little spit fuck fly off his skates and rock someone into the boards makes me want to get rowdy. The fact that he is already sick with the rubber and has room to improve is simply icing on the cake.

20 goals, 24 goals, 31 goals.

That's how it's going to work out.
