There are hundreds of youtube videos of Pierre just being really uncomfortable with the guys around him. Look up the Rob Ray one lol I thought Rayzor was going to kill him.

Emrick and McGuire are the reason I cannot stand watching nationally broadcasted coverage. Does no one else see how bad these guys are?

Like I believe Squanto said before, i'd rather listen to industrial noise.

I presonally don't mind Emrick. That being said though, it seems like the announcers for NBC and Versus spend most of the time talking rather than calling the game. I like to be able to go get a beer and still hear what is happening. NO ONE wants to hear old stories that try to convince us how relevant they still are. "When i was in juniors...blah blah blah." "As a center I know how important...blah blah blah." "I was talking to....blah blah blah". I hate it. Not to mention how they pick one or two players and talk about them the whole game.

It just sounds like a circle jerk when emrick calls a goal and every player always looks pissed off at McGuire during interviews.

I don't like McGuire either, but the whole native to/college attended/junior team played for thing he does is the same thing that big-time knowledgeable football announcers do and they aren't verbally hanged for it. My only problems with him are he's a close talker and asks inane questions after periods or games. I love hearing his tidbits though.

I like the tidbits but he's a symptom of this stupid idea that hockey announcers need to call a game more like football so American fans can relate. I hate it. You're called a play by play announcer for a reason. Football is 16 minutes of actual play and three hours of boring shit....hockey is not.
