Alright I got something to say about Darcy. He made a great trade for Regher off Calgary and then follows up by throwing away a 4th rounder to Ehrhoff just to talk for 2 days before free agency starts. Move wasn't worth more than a 6th rounder or even a 5th rounder and Ehroff isn't the guy this team needs. I'm glad players and other teams are taking notice that buffalo is going to be active in the free agency or trade winds but I just don't believe Ehroff is the guy we need to overpay. Don't get me wrong the guy is a decent player but I would much rather have a tougher defenseman that wasn't -13 in the playoffs. This team needs a Center or two and need to spend some of this cap space on offense. Why in the world would any player sign with only a day or two left before free agency starts. If I'm Ehrhoff I don't sign and wait until July 1st to hear all 30 teams offers before I decide where I go. You waited this long why not wait 2 more days.

I specifically said that I was sceptical but I wanted to see what he would do without Quinn over his shoulder. So did a bunch of us. He even had a few cheerleaders saying how it was all Quinn and Tom who he had to cover for.

Most of those players stayed on the team that they play for. Only Philly had the goalie that I can recall. And he got mega-money. Plus they already have a decent team that really only needed goaltending.

I was in the same boat. I felt that Darcy was hamstrung by previous ownership, and I wanted to see what he could do without being interfered with.
