This is a tits contract for two major reasons.

1. If a buyout were to happen late, there would not be a significant cap penalty since the cap number is so low.
2. Because the actual salaries AND cap number are minimal, it's a movable contract later on down the line should the need arise.

I'm loving this all. As you guys know I was clamoring for ehrhoff the entire time I knew he was goin to be a ufa.

28 and has had 4 40+ point seasons. Guys will help tremendously.

If we don't release Kotalik, I'd rather see a too green Kassian up here and Kotalik in Rochester. Maybe some team in Europe will offer him a nice deal and he'll stay overseas.

I was thinking, both this signing and the Regehr signing are going to greatly help Myers development. Regehr will help him develop his mean streak and teach him to kick ass, while Ehrhoff will help him hone his offensive game. These 2 signings are going to really be beneficial to helping Myers become the Norris winner he has the potential to be and a top 5 overall defensemen for a number of years.

i could be wrong, but an overseas team cant offer to kotalik, since hes under contract in the NHLPA. the sabres could loan him to an overseas team though.
