They said they were out at the 4:45 presser announcing Leino.

Last season, we had Hech and Conolly as our top centers for the majority of last year

Now we have Roy and Leino.

I'm ok with this. I still think we can afford to give Ennis a shot at center as well...

I just checked his face off numbers. He only took about 1.5 draws per game being a winger, but he was 58%.
Does anyone know if Leino's got some history playing center before his NHL days?

I had a feeling Leino was coming. I'm sure it's overpayment but he look great during the Cup run with Philly. Makes sense because he's from Finland and we just drafted Armia and he's from Finland. Maybe alittle tutoring going on in the near future.

Hockey Night in Buffalo

Well 1st, Buffalo must have found out something pretty significant about Richards today, that he probably was going somewhere else.

2nd, with Leino at center, we now have more of a 2nd line guy (which is fine) for a little less. I wish he had more NHL experience at center, but I guess it can't be that much of a transition for him.

3rd, looks like Kotalik may actually have a chance at the starting roster, because it wouldn't make much sense now to send him to Rochester and bury his cap hit if they didn't have to.

Overall, the three big players and Kotalik probably amount to an A- for off-season moves. Definitely a good job and we should be a top contender.

Our best center who's coming off a pretty serious injury? No.

We are wing heavy....if we trade, that's were the trade will occur if it does.

If the season starts tomorrow, then yes. But I wouldn't be surprised if we now try to get a center via the trade route. Kots is expendible if said trade substantially increases our cap number

Roy isn't going anywhere. Why do people keep talking about moving him. We need Centers why would we move him.
