2 year deal worth $9.5 mil per. It must suck even worse to be a Toronto fan today than usual--they go from bidding on Brad Richards as their #1 C to having Connolly fill that role.

I wish him well but he easily got twice what he's worth.

Leafs fans... They think he'll go together nicely with Kessel, eh? Nope. He wont.

Wow leaves Buffalo and gets a pay raise. Burke must have been desperate for a center because he isn't worth that much but then again either is Leino. I would have been okay with Leino getting 3 million a season anything more is overpriced.

Leino had 53 points, a +14, gritty forward. I think 4.5 million, with how people are paid in the NHL, is about right, maybe a BIT overpriced but nothing to squawk at.

My only concern is they are above the salary cap now with Grag's, Weber, Enroth, and Sekera still remaining unsigned. I know Kotalik and Morrisson will be gone and that open's up at least 5 million but I don't want other teams maybe entertaining offer sheets for some of our homegrown talent because we don't have the cap space to sign them.

Leino wanted more than the $3.5 million that the Flyers were offering him. Offering him $1 million extra sound a-ok to me.

Yeah. I don't know how many teams would be tripping over each other to offer-sheet any of our RFA's to crazy contracts.....

Grags and Enroth only have 30 NHL games played between them. I like them both very much, but I honestly don't see either of them getting offer-sheeted.

Your right. I think if someone signs either of those two an offer sheet a gm could possibly lose his job.

If Phoenix didn't go the Mike Smith/Jason Labarbera route (BLECH), I could see them offer sheeting Enroth
