Now she's probably going to make a shit load of money doing interviews, writing a book, and Lifetime making a piece of shit made-for-TV movie about it. Nice!

A Sociopath
A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused - it is done to get one's way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered ways (see, lovefraud, for more on sociopaths).

Here's my theory: Caylee, who was in her "terrible two's" was being obnoxious/loud/flouting her mom's athority so Casey put duct tape over her mouth to shut her up and threw her in her room. What Casey didn't realize was that she accidently blocked her daughter's nose as well. By the time she realized her mistake, it was too late.

Because she is a compulsive/pathological liar, she feared what would happen to her if she called the police/hospital so instead of telling the truth she hid the body in the car and eventually dumping it, using partying/lies to "forget" what happend.

Just a thought of course.

It was a purely circumstantial case; No DNA, witness or even cause of death.

Everyone who's blowing up facebook, twitter and the like are apparently all 100% convinced she killed her daughter.

I'd agree she most likely did, but "most likely", "gut feeling" or "probably" isn't the standard the jury had to use.
Anyone who says it was her beyond all reasonable doubt is either lying or an emotional twat.

I don't like the verdict, but it's the right one given the evidence.

Yup. The great thing about our country is that you can't convict someone with out concrete evidence. I agree with Cross that my gut tells me she did it. That's a far cry from proof though. I also can't discount the influence of three years of our media telling me she was guilty and its effect on my opinion.

Based on the evidence that I saw, this was more a case of the prosecution screwing it up more than a creative defense establishing reasonable doubt.

The defense really didn't have far to go, and the arrogance of the lead prosecutor really did them in. His little stunt on Sunday where he was laughing at the defense during closing arguments probably sealed the verdict.

In order for her to get the aggravated child abuse charge, they would have to prove that Caylee was alive and abused. There was absolutely no proof of that.

I've said how I feel ad nauseum, but I think the jury was absolutely correct in their verdicts. I think Casey is guilty of doing something to contribute to Caylee's death, but I have no idea how. That's not good enough in a court of law, especially when the prosecution was recommending the death penalty and charged her with first degree murder (among other things). He may have had a better shot going for a lesser charge, but some say that is like admitting defeat. I'm not so sure.

Really? If she didn't murder her child, she somehow let her kid drown in a pool. She shouldn't be allowed.

If she didn't murder Caylee she for sure knew who did though, or even had a helping hand in it.

You could see when the verdicts were read, she was very surprised at the outcome. Kinda like she was not expecting to be let go.

If she has another kid, oh help us god, please don't let it be.
