You said you wanted thoughts. I didn't see you ask for thoughts you felt were nice.

What inside information does your friend have that indicates Erhoff will want out of Buffalo after 5 years? I think an educated guess could be made that Erhoff hasn't looked that far down the road himself, so how the hell can anyone predict what he's going to be thinking in 2016?

My thoughts are that your friend is just spewing bullshit.

Dude. You're a fuckin ass hole.

I dont see how what Squanto said is him being "a fucking ass hole" Cuz like Squanto said, he wanted an opinion, and he gave it to him, and I agree with Squanto, that nucks fan is a moron, there is no way that Erhroff is thinking, yeah in 5 years I want out of here just cause I feel like it, No way he even has thought about it. Squanto's point is valid.

His point is valid but the way he said it what is the problem. The guy was just starting a conversation and squanto responded as if it was a personal attack on him.

That being said, this is just like when an employee leaves a job for a better opportunity. The employee did a good job while working at the employer but as soon as they leave, they get blamed for everything thats wrong.

Too bad its not a personal attack. He just said who gives a shit what he thinks. He isnt a sabres fan, we all are. His opinion doesnt mean jack shit to anyone. Squanto did nothing wrong and if you dont like it or anything he says then either ignore him, or dont post. It is as simple as that.

Took the word right out my mouth

The guy's just making conversation. Isn't that what your supposed to do on a message board? Honestly man cool it, don't keep lashing out everyone like you know exactly what the Sabres need and will do.

T. Pegula is spending an assload of money to retain the services of C. Ehrhoff for sure. The issue is that it's HIS money to spend, not yours or your buddies(or the owner of the Canucks). When the money is no object, then all that matters is cap hit and age. The hit is minimal(ESPECIALLY for a highly touted FA), and the age may not be an issue either. I'm guessing with $3 million over the last 3 years, they are planning to circumvent those 3 years with a retirement or a loan if he is physically unable to play at the type of high level TP is going to demand. This team is done with duds for sure. There's no evidence to support this yet, but I believe you are going to have to earn your money from now on. Professionals only!

He gives a shit because his friend has supposively seen Erhoff play quite a lot.. He wonders if anyone on here think his friend is wrong and why.. Hence the reason for making this thread..

Nolan Pratt wore number four. Bobby Orr wore four. Has anyone seen those two in the same place at the same time? That's all I'm saying.

Then: Henrik Tallinder, Toni Lydman, Jaroslav Spacek, Dmitri Kalinin, Brian Campbell, Nolan Pratt, Nathan Paetsch, Mike Weber, Andrei Sekera

Now: Robin Regehr, Tyler Myers, Christian Ehrhoff, Jordan Leopold, Shane Morrison, Marc-Andre Gragnani, Mike Weber, Andrei Sekera

I'll probably get crucified for this, but is the D truly THAT much better?

Aww, I miss Doodman. :(

I think we're just going to have to see. It's hard to speculate how well (or not) everything will come together.

Regehr > Lydman (While with us)
Myers > Campbell
Ehrhoff > Spacek
Leopold > Tallinder
Morrison > Pratt
Grags > kalinin

In my opinion the only match up thats close is Ehrhoff and Spacek.

Would you say Leino > Timmy?

I think we look very good this year.

I don't think they're all as cut-and-dry as that. Myers might be slightly better in his own end, but offensively he isn't as good as Campbell 4 years ago yet IMO, though eventually he'll be far better I think. Leopold is good, but Tallinder was one of the best in the league back then and never got the credit he deserved from Sabres fans.

Now I do think the current defense is better, but I agree with Beth in saying we don't really know how it's all gonna play out. This new defense isn't going into the Hall of Fame as a group yet.
