And the 24 hour news cycle where nothing besides sensationalism and hyperbole is allowed to air.
Broadcast journalism is all but dead. Citizens are less informed and more enraged towards each other.

i was kidding. sadly, political parties are nothing more then sports teams. we choose a side and we defend them valiantly, parroting what the party heads say.

that being said, the teapartiers are pretty extreme and some of their beliefs are downright archaic and ignorant. mainly on distraction issues such as gay rights and abortion, ect. but ive also read teapartiers who believe we should end public schooling because they allow gays in schools, and that private schools should only exist, and if you cant afford it, your child gets no education.
