Great video, but I'm more sad that he didn't really turn into the All-Star he should've been. 2006 playoffs he was AMAZING...until he got layed out

Ya that hit was the one that took it away from him IMO.

I see Connolly doing better elsewhere though. I have a FEELING that him and Kessell are going to have good chemistry. Just my 2 cents.

Man were those red jersey's ugly.... lol

great article about timmy.

"And this season, with the Sabres going from low budget to high spending, the decision was made to walk away. The determination was rather basic really. In order to spend what new owner Terry Pegula wanted to spend, he needed general manager Darcy Regier to let some players leave. Connolly was one of those players.

This came after a playoff game in which Connolly skated to the Sabres bench and was asked by a television announcer why he was so glum. His answer, paraphrased: How would you feel if the entire arena hated you?"

Maybe he should try harder and not try to dangle through the whole team. Seriously, the guy is a little baby. His work ethic was poor, his talent went out the door, now he's overpaid in Toronto and will have to live with an even HARSHER fan base.

I mean, for all we know Tim may settle in and play very well for Toronto. At this point, I don't think he could have done anything better besides seek a change of scenery.

Now, I think if Tim Connolly were to come back and bite us in the ass in any way, it would probably be by injuring someone on our team with a big (hopefully clean) hit while he plays a whole season. That would be horribly annoying.

I can't. I bet he gets less than last season.

that may be true, but i felt tim got alot of heat he didnt deserve. its almost like we needed a whipping boy, and timmy became it. even last year, he played defensively well, and still quietly produced. but for some reason, everyone decided to hate on him.

i wont say he doesnt have his downfalls. he does. he appears to be a selfish brat at times. but i still feel like he was an asset to the team.

and i think, if healthy, he gets 65 points next year. hes got the talent, he will have talent around him, and he will get first line minutes.

i wish him the best, and i applaud his time served in a buffalo uniform.
