Beth, when you log in do you get this message?

I guess that means that when we registered it really did mean we were chosen to test the site early?! I hope so!!

Ya, I got that, too! I was under the impression that you may not be selected to get in early, but that messages more so says to me that we'll get in early, it just may not be at the earliest time possible. Either way, I'm still a little shocked I waited for that clue to pop up, but I think it was worth it. My boyfriend was super surprised when he woke up and had an email for it. :D

From looking at Twitter, a lot of people were able to get in when the clue was live, but have yet to receive an email. Yikes!

The reason I ask is because I think the books are a lot better in really explaining the reasons things are, as is the case for most books turned into movies. Sometimes the movie doesn't do well in bridging the gaps and has to leave out things that really tie the story in due to time constraints. I didn't mean it to say that you're in the wrong thread, but that your Harry Potter experience (the movies included) would be a lot better if you've read the books. Since the last movie was divided into two, they were able to get a lot more of the nitty gritty details, but there were still deviations and things left out from the book.

Also, I didn't really like the first two Harry Potter movies because I thought the director made it very childish. I thought it really downplayed the creepiness of everything the way I imagined it. IDK, it's hard for me to explain. The movies definitely got better throughout the years, I thought. I really need to watch all the movies again so I can pick a favorite, but I know that movies one and two are definitely not on that list.

Yeah, I always picture the movies more as guidelines to the books than anything. There are so many things that go unsaid and I feel like they make the movies assuming that the people who are watching them have read the books. I feel like if I watched the movies without reading the books I would be really confused.

Harry Potter memes are the best!

And I would be freaking out, too. It's pretty funny to see the rage on Twitter from people who didn't get in early this morning. I'm so glad I got in today because I would hate to worry about it for the rest of the week. Not sure I could handle staying up until God knows when waiting for that stupid clue to pop up every night and checking it at all hours of the day. Plus I think you're more guaranteed this early on.

From what I gathered, they're going to be letting more than one million register because they want to ensure that they get equal representation from people who speak the languages Pottermore will be supporting to truly test the translations. Our "congratulations" message seems to say otherwise (at least for us). I'm so pumped!

And on that note, why can't I find studying for the CPA to be this exciting? I think I would be able to pass every part with flying colors.

Hahaha I feel bad for laughing, but Evanna Lynch (the actress who plays Luna Lovegood) still hasn't gotten her Pottermore e-mail yet and she keeps tweeting about how worried she is.
