Don't like how I would spend money in the NHL.

I don't care.

It reall comes down to who can make the most impact at their position. Id gladly pay 7 million to a player who was great a great froward, defender, or goalie as long as they made a $7 million impact.

Phaneuf hasn't even been in my thought process since he got his monstrous contract from Calgary.

When did I say Green was the best in the NHL?

It seems that in the heated frenzy I got into at seeing Mike Green's name at the top of a defenseman list, I failed to notice that your list was in no particular order.

I still wouldn't put Green anywhere near a top 5 defenseman list. Maybe... just maybe top 10.

Especially with his playoff performances

This.

It is much harder to find a defenseman that is offensively capable and defensively sound all in one package than just a guy who can score goals.

IMO, Weber is worth every penny.

Weber to Buffalo with known fact Pegula is in the town and all that Ehrhoff overpayment? No, thanks.. I'd rather go after Suter instead of Shea any day.. Or let's just keep our own Weber.

First of all, Ehrhoff overpayment? For 50-60 points a year from a defensman, his cap hit is the right price. Sure he might be getting a LOT of front loaded money, but all that matters to me is the cap hit, and he's got a really nice, low, even movable cap hit if it ever gets to that point.

As for Suter over Weber, what the hell are you smoking?

You guys are too obsessed with Weber. I didn't say Suter is better than Weber. It's hard to compare players with different skillsets. I just said that I'd prefer Suter over Weber. His mobility, all around play and one of the highest hockey IQs in the game are things we need. Weber's size, grit and toughness we already have in Myers and his points we should get in Ehrhoff. I'm just saying.

As good as Myers may become, he doesn't compare to Weber in physicality.

With Myers size, and what I saw at the end of last year, Myers will be fairly comparable.

Myers is tall but still hasnt really filled out completely yet.

Weber fights, hits hard and has a better shot right now.

Myers could be there one day, but Weber is just dominant at his position in almost every way.

Oh of course. I never said he wasn't.

With Myers, that's what I'm saying. He's not yet, but he's going to be. If you saw him playing mad at the end of the year, he was absolutely crushing people. I have no doubt that he has that same physicality in him.

To be fair, Weber cheated. He started growing his playoff beard in February.

The Preds should have used that in the arbitration case.
