So we just bought a new bed last week. This is something we've been thinking about for a long time now. My wife and I have been sleeping on a full size bed for 5 years now. I'm about 6'2", and she has chronic back pain, so there were plenty of reasons in our minds to want a new bed, but we never felt we had the cash.

After happening by a furniture store that is going out of business, and going in to look at recliners (one of which we bought as well), we ended up buying a high-end mattress set at wholesale prices. It's a Diamond Mattress Company bed, a Serenity Revive model, made of latex and all kinds of other shit. Anyway, it's awesome. So comfortable, and finally I own a bed where my feet aren't always hanging off the edge. I highly recommend this company to anyone shopping for bed if you come across it and haven't heard of it.

This has turned into more of a brag post than I intended. So let's get to questions. What do you sleep on? What's the best and most comfortable bed you've ever had, or just slept in? Do any of you have back or sleep problems? Do you like Tempurpedic? Memory Foam? Waterbeds? Let's hear it.

For the past 3 years (and soon to be four), I've been sleeping on horribly uncomfortable beds that are essentially made of vinyl so they can be reused. I have been using a comfortable foam top to help, but it still sucks.

I can't wait to have a real bed again. I'm a midget so I could sleep in a twin size bed and be comfortable, although it's really nice to sprawl out in a queen/king size bed. Definitely investing in a really nice king size mattress when the time comes.

My roommate and I have been sleeping since May on a futon mattress we pulled out of a dumpster. lol

I don't have much in the way of bed preferences, but I prefer sleeping as close to the ground as possible. It's cozier. The mattress we're using now isn't very comfortable, but it's better than sleeping on the floor, and the only times I have restless sleep are when it's storming loudly or during nights that my roommate is particularly cuddly in her sleep.

The bed I have at my parents' house is a twin. The mattress is eleven years old... It was quite firm when I got it, and I liked it then. I still don't get back problems from it or anything.

i generally support that idea, but considering the current bed bug epidemic sweeping the nation... i would "x" that idea.

A new twin long that my school gives us. They're brand new and pretty comfortable, especially compared to the old ones I've had to sleep on for the past 2 years I've been here.

Yes, Mike, I sleep with my roommate. Whether or not I "sleep" with her remains to be seen. ;) :P

We took it from a dorm dumpster the night all the students had to be out, along with a chair for the living room. There was quite a bit of furniture because students dump it rather than have to transport it who knows how far in a vehicle that doesn't have any extra room. We were safe. :P

Mike, you're being awfully restrained.

I was expecting picture demands first thing!
