The offense could be on the upswing because of better defense leading to better breakouts. Less pressure on the forwards to back check and spend a whole shift just clearing the d-zone will lead to more offense. I really think the forward talent has been stymied the last few seasons by a weak d-corps that hasn't been able to effectively clear the zone and get the forwards up ice with speed. Offense starts with good defense and we finally have a legit d-corps again. I hope/expect for at least a top five ranking in goal production, if not close to 1st.

I expect the Sabres to crush their enemies, see them driven before them and hear the lamentation of their women.

The way the blue line is set up I expect a lot of opposing offenses to be afraid to drop the soap in our defensive zone. I expect butthole pillaging coming in many ways, shapes, and forms.

I don't wanna be overly optimistic. I learned that last year. But, I think we will definitely make the playoffs, and be in the top 6.
