I have no classes Wednesdays, so I spent the morning watching redlettermedia's reviews of the Star Wars prequels in succession. I'd watched them all once separately, but never all together. Freaking brilliant ripping apart of those movies oh my goodness. I could do without some of the jokes, but A+ anyway.

Wish we had a class like that at Buff State. You would think we would since we have such a comprehensive Communications program.

This is actually the first semester it's ever being taught here. I did some research for the professor last semester and this summer to help him prepare all the information for the class this semester. It's really exciting. I'm sure if it works out really well, which I'm sure it will, maybe the idea will spread and more schools will pick it up as a class.

COM 492. But the class is completely full. Apparently there's at least 50 people, if not more, who want to get force registered into the class, but they can't. Though funny story. The professor for this class, Rintamaki, worked on this project with another guy from the University of Illinois, where they first started the class. Apparently the professor there wanted to have the class number for Sexual Communication be COM 269, but the school wouldn't let him, so instead he made it 268. I was amused by that little tidbit.

Actually after doing some looking around, it looks like we have some classes like that offered here. Psychology of Human Sexual Behavior, Sociology of Sex and Gender, and Sociology of Sexual Behavior.

I would love to take all of these classes...sometimes I wish I could stay an extra year or two in college just to take classes that seem interesting to me, even if they don't pertain to my major whatsoever, but college is just too expensive. I recently found out we had a class all about wine, I would love to take it!

So, for my 5 year anniversary this fall with the company, they want to give me a gift that can value $150. If I choose to go the way of a gift card, it gets taxed like mad and it also has limitations as to what I can request as a gift (No alcohol/strippers/hookers/blow etc.)

I really can't think of anything that I want or need so I was thinking about donating the $150 to the Sabres Foundation. Just not sure if there would be any legal red tape BS since I'm from Canada and all. :?

I need to find a new hobby...right now I'm just kinda hovering in space. It's weird, I don't dislike my life, or where I'm at, but at the same time I am not satisfied.

as ive posted several times, my new-ish hobby is keeping aquariums. at first it was just a tank with an axolotl, but now that im learning, im adding plants and natural things to my tank. its very rewarding. soon im getting a major tank thatll be heavily planted (maybe no artificial filtration and aeration)

 Congratulations! Though with your credentials, I would be more surprised to see a post regarding a rejection. :P :)

Thanks to everyone!

I got this job in the most unconventional way ever. My "job interview" was basically at the preseason Bills game. I'm really happy I get to skip recruiting season, though. I still feel like yesterday didn't happen. :)

Trust me, I was really scared of rejection. Was not looking forward to interviewing, which would have been in about a month.
