bauer skates are uncomfortable as all hell.

i used to wear all bauer. bauer skates, pads, trapper, blocker, sticks.....

now i wont touch a bauer product. unless its to kick it out of the way on my way to the good stuff.

edit: except a bauer goalie mask, which isnt made by bauer. its itech, and bauer just bought the name so they can throow their name on an itech mask.

My Vapor X:20's were only uncomfortable because I got them a size too small. I've put on a correctly sized Supreme and loved the fit, super comfy to me, and that was obviously before any heat molding. When I actually get a pair I probably won't believe how comfy they get.

The CCM skates I have aren't that comfortable really.

Did you ever try wearing them with no socks?
Over the years I just kept wearing thinner and thinner socks, because I felt they gave me a better feel, less floating around inside the skates, however you want to describe it. After awhile I just stopped wearing socks altogether. My feet do get cold eventually, but even then it still feels like the energy I create by skating transfers more efficiently into the blades. The skates feel more like a part of my feet, as opposed to implements for my feet.

I always wore super thin socks. The toe cap on them were too narrow for my foot regardless and my toes touched the end of it.

They were too small for me by a size. I don't want to feel anything on my toes in a game and if I hit them on the ice or with a puck it really hurt.
