FYI, it says he's eligible to return as soon as Saturday. So it sounds to me like this does not mean he's out long term. He's day-to-day, and as we all know, that means he could be coming along to save the team at any time.

The Germans have a word, Schadenfreude, which means taking joy in the misfortune of others. It is an understandable emotion and one which I have felt myself many times.

However, I can't bring myself to take pleasure in the bad luck of anyone who has ever put on a Sabres jersey. I always wish our players well, current and former. That included Satan, Hasek, Peca, Afinogenov, and pretty much anyone who has worn the swords. I hate the Flyers, but I wish Danny Briere success in his career (except when he is playing the Sabres).

I hope Connolly recovers and finishes his career as a Maple Leaf with the success he deserves.
