Holy shit, this is easily the coolest dressing room ever.

That middle part almost looks like a human transport. I wouldn't be surprised if you step into it, you end up in a different dimension. Pegula just wants to make sure its safe before you can step onto the logo.

Was a Sabres' fan for going on 40 years - Got tired of the Mickey Mouse culture in management and the nickle-and-diming (and the repeatedly mediocre on-ice product.)

Heard that Kroules and Barrie were finally gone, and that Jeff Vinik had bought the Lightning and hired Yzerman (and thought "Now, that's how it's done!) and when Yzerman hired Boucher, I fell in love with this team (from afar) while still in WNY...Followed them closely all season, then when Yzerman traded for Roloson, I was completely sold.

Now I'm here (South Tampa, since mid-December) have been to about a dozen games (including Games 3 & 4 of the ECF - BTW: Game 4 was utterly brillant. Best fan-experience I have ever had; and I've been to a great many games, in many cities, over the years.)

I've concluded that the Sabres can hang onto Darcy and Lindy (wallow in the "same old, same old") and go "Cupless" for many more seasons - I'm "All In" with Stevie Y, Guy Boucher and the Bolts!! Some may say I'm a traitor or a bandwagon-jumper - I consider myself a hard-bought convert. (Can't keep banging your head against the same wall for a few decades and not take a step back and wonder why it hurts so much, all the time...LOL!)

This team has been playing some of the most exciting and promising Hockey I have seen in a long time - Even though their Cup-run was cut short under some sketchy circumstances, I see nothing but upside under this GM and coaching staff.

Very smart management - Disciplined, talented, hard-working, well-motivated team - Built to win, by winners. Definitely can't wait until October. I'm sure Steve Yzerman has only just begun shaping this team into (what has the potential to be) a Red Wings-type of organization and Cup-winning dynasty.

Cheers! And have a great summer...

GO BOLTS!

Anyone recognize that conglomerate of words? I have one thing to say:

BOOYA! Enjoy your Bolts!

It's a joke. How are you going to follow a team for that many years and jump ship because of a couple mediocre seasons?

I concur on for both people. icehound especially surprised since I always respected his views.

That is until he said that everyone on here that didn't migrate to Drunkies could go rot in hell.

I don't think he jumped because of a couple of bad seasons, but because of a long period of time where the way the franchise operated left much to be desired. Which, I suppose, I can sort of understand. I just could never feel the same kind of loyalty to some random franchise I just picked. Plus, it's ironic that he jumped ship right before they upgraded it to a fucking luxury yacht.

IDK man, I admit that I lost interest in the Bills. I still considered them to be my team first and foremost, but I did start to follow the Colts because I really love Peyton Manning. I still followed the Bills avidly and they were always the team I told people were my team. I think that's a little different than completing jumping ship and saying that you just can't stand to be a Sabres fan anymore and now you're going to follow a team who's a real winner.

Even still I root for the Colts so long as they're not playing the Bills. I wouldn't exactly go as far to say that I'm a Colts fan, I suppose.

I like the picture of them over the locker stall too.

Makes it more personable.

At the risk of sounding like a dick, which I know I do a lot, Icehound professed his newfound love for the Bolts MONTHS after Pegula took over. It's not like he gave up and then awesome unicorn time happened. He watched the entire culture turn around, THEN decided nothing was ever going to change.

We knew for certain that Pegula was going to buy the Sabres in late January. He took over the team in February.

The Sabres then went 16-4-4 and fought their want into the playoffs. That was 'lazy hockey?'

Icehound made his post on the Lightning boards professing his new love for them (and whoring for a job, lol) on June 4th.

So, even after watching Pegula come in, even after watching the team turn it around on the ice, he decides it's same old same old?

Good riddance. Enjoy Tampa.
