Eight weeks into the semester, and I have $0.75 in my checking account and just over thirty in savings. Can't save anything and I've only spent $40 total on things like going out to coffee cause that's what friends plan to spend time together. Ugh. It's really difficult to not panic sometimes. My hours at work have been upped to 25/week from 15, though, so maybe that will help. My calculations done at the beginning of the semester indicate that at this point having nothing substantial (several hundred dollars or so) saved up means I won't be able to afford a place to go after I graduate, though. I really try, and my job's even a dollar over minimum wage (which, I know, lol, but it's just a student job basically; i couldn't get anything that pays more yet), but it's just not enough. I couldn't even go to homecoming if one of my friends weren't paying for me to go. It costs $10 for seniors.

At least nursing school is happening after this. I'll probably make more than enough after that to support myself and make loan payments, plus if I get to work in psych I know I'll love it even though it's kind of crazy. It's just being able to survive during those 2-3 years when I'll have classes that require quite a bit more studying... i'm not even currently paying rent or car insurance and I can't even do this. My roommate has nothing saved up, either.

Budgeting wouldn't help because all that's spent is $50/week on groceries (it actually usually ends up being $30-40; I just refuse to spend over $50; my roommate and I split the cost every week), what is needed for gas (we never leave town, only drive to work, etc), miscellaneous needed items (like new underwear and cleaning products lol not things that are only desires) and utilities. I've been keeping track of what is spent on fun things and as stated it's not much. I just have nooooo idea how we'll stay afloat going to nursing school.

I wish they made the chairs in Lockwood more comfortable. Sitting in this chair for the better part of 4 hours is making everything hurt. :(

Also, Alex, when you see this, I just saw a guy walk into Lockwood who looks almost exactly like you. It's a little creepy.

Went to a transgendered workshop last night at RIT, was pretty interesting, both because of the workshop itself and the deaf culture that permeates throughout RIT.

My sex com professor emailed the class last night telling us about how he watched 2 girls 1 cup (because in class, we're discussing sex and the internet) and almost lost his lunch.

I almost did, too.

I'd like to say they traded lunches.

I'm not sure why this bothering me as it is, but I really need to get some shit off my chest before I go on a rampage..

A simple little PDA was posted on my facebook wall last night by my fiancé regarding our wedding next summer. We actually had a night off together where she didn’t have any school work to take care of and we could just relax and watch the Sabres game (She was in a bit of a sappy mood). All of a sudden, some mutual friends and family members decide to get all fucking butt hurt and somehow they feel they are the victims of a catastrophic event. Comments along the lines of: "ZOMGGGGIDIDNTGETMYINVITE!!!!1111" *Frowns/bitching/whining/pissing/moaning/attentionwhoremongering*, and the sort. These same people have known that we’ve been tossing around a soft date for our wedding of July 13th 2012 ever since I proposed last summer.

So now I've got a bunch of family and friends asking questions as to what’s up with the plans and where their invites are and likely some others who will consider us to be real dickish arseholes for not inviting them. Here's the kicker; NO ONE HAS RECEIVED THIER INVITE BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T FINALIZED EVERYTHING YET HOLY FUCK MY NERVES!

Maybe I'm just in a real pissy mood this morning and not wanting to be at work, but this has got my blood boiling.

/rant.

They were going almost 200mph when that happened.

Unless you were talking about the tribute laps and someone losing it then. Which those cars wouldn't do at 60.

I hear "the Sabs" occasionally, but never "the Swords".

The only person I have ever heard call them the swords is my cousin, and he's insulting them since he's a Leafs fan.

'Sabs' is downright dumb.
