I'm excited that the iPhone is finally available for Sprint users. Now all I need is for Cablevision to let FiOS have access to MSG HD and I'll be set in my personal technological struggle...

I'm trying to update now. Just for the updates for my computer, it's going to take 6 hours.

Took about 4 hours for the updates to iTunes, but to download and install iOS 5 it took about 15 minutes to download and I had no errors installing it.

At one point my phone wasn't even functional because it had gotten to the point to remove the old files, but kept fucking up when it would try to install iOS 5. Thankfully that lasted for like an hour and then everything was quick after that.

I love the pull down menu. That was one thing I liked about Android.

Everyone was having issues because Apple melted again

Fuckin' capacity planning...how does it work?

You know how it works. People like me tell them they need X amount of bandwidth, and Y amount of servers to handle the load. Some CIO who has never fixed anything in his life then swoops in to say you need less.

Shitstorm ensues, and the techs who told you in advance what you needed take the blame.

You'd just think after the mobileme flop they'd be a bit more on top of it this time around.

And does anyone else get a huge kick out of the fact that Apple is using the Microsoft Azure cloud for iCloud?

lulz

You would hope so.

And yes, the Azure thing is hilarious.

So Apple is lying in their press release about the number of phones they sold? I don't get your point.

The point of the link was the fact they sold the 4M units.

are you purposely ignoring irony?

i'm not saying they did this time, but you certainly can't argue that sales records are not often fudged...

What the fuck ever. I really don't know why I bother to engage in these discussions.

Obviously they're making up sales numbers!! Nobody actually buys these phones, they just sell them to themselves and make up numbers!!

jeez dude, you take it so personally, even though i wasnt even referring to you.

some people will blindly eat up whatever apples put out there whether or not they need it, just because its an apple. its not a new phenomenon. im sure alot of people needed a new phone and got one. great for them. im sure theres alot of people who just replaced their 5 month old iphone 4 because, OMG, ITS NEW AND ITS THE BEST.

deep breath, and relax, because no one was attacking you, and you brought up a dead argument for no reason. its silly and not necessary.
