Sometimes, but when poster X calls out player Y for a poor performance, poster Z shouldn't over react to that and think poster X think player Y is a pile of crap. Calling out one player for one bad night is the norm for any fan forum of any team in any sport. I'm a huge Miller fan, and Vanek and Ehrhoff and Weber and Gaustad...but I make a note when they screw up, even if it's a rare occassion.

I say bench Miller and Enroth. For one game play with six forwards on the ice for the whole game. Maybe when we play the Islanders. They can't hit the net anyway.

I'm down with all of this statement.

Do you guys remember last season when we stunk worse than a bag of cow shit? Some folks were calling for Rivet and Lalime's heads and they weren't even playing :P When this was pointed out, these same folks started ripping on management for not trading them to bring in someone else who they could shit all over while the team was playing like suck.

Meeeeeemories….

I would have liked to see him play Enroth there. Tampa beat us with Miller between the pipes. Ruff should have given him some rest and force Tampa to take a look at another goaltender. The way Millsy played on Tuesday, I think it's pretty apparent that he could have used it.

And right on about Weber, SBS1980. We traded for one of the best shut down veteran defensemen in the league in Robyn Regehr. We should be playing Weber and giving him an opportunity to learn from Regehr in game situations. Instead, we're playing 4 offensive defenseman, and looking soft in our own zone.

It won't work when the games start getting tougher and more competitive.

I don't think that Lindy gives a rats ass about this 50 games nonsense. Gragnani is probably on the ice because he played very well in last years playoffs and he has shown that he can be an asset on the powerplay. If he is playing terrible, I'm sure Lindy is the first one to notice. If he thinks Weber will play better with Sekera, I'm sure he'll make the switch. Remember, we're only 8 games in so I don't think we've seen the last of Weber in this season.

Pegula said that our only reason for existance will be to win a Stanley Cup. Essentially, contracts mean jack shit. The only thing that Lindy and Darcy should be worrying about is the cap. The beauty of having Pegula as an owner is he can offer greasy "signing bonuses" to these players (and yes...I know all about the math of bonuses) to encourage them to come/stay in Buffalo. So, if Gragnani's main goal is money, he'll get it here (rfa status will not matter). If he wants to go elsewhere, fuck em.

Basically, I don't think this 50 games stuff is a priority for Lindy becuase if Gragnani wants to leave, rfa or not, then let him. We have plenty of depth and money to fill the void so, for now, put the best players on the ice and forget the money.

Gragnani's contract status may very well be nonsense, I haven't figured out a way to verify it yet. But if it is true, I would revert back to what Pat Green said earlier...if it's a toss up in Lindy's mind, may as well play Gragnani and avoid a headache later on. IMO though, Grags hasn't impressed enough to let Weber sit and get rusty. For all I know Ruff will find ice time for Weber another way (Sekera?), but I sure don't like mini-Regehr sitting while having five offensive d-men that haven't had much effect on the PP.

I think after the strong preseason Ruff was picturing us as an offensive juggernaut like in 06-07. He needs to suck it up and insert Weber and get back to a physical game tonight and just get the first home win under the belt.

I would also like to see Enroth every 4 games and/or most western confrence games and 2nd of the back to backs.

Contract "headache" over Gragnani? Nah, I don't think so haha

Whatever you want to call it. I don't think he's all that valuable, aside from a potential replacement of Leopold in two years. OTOH, with his strong performance in the playoffs, and his starting spot so far over Weber (who had a solid year overall, not just playoffs), it seems to me that Ruff thinks more of him. So maybe in Ruff and/or Regier's opinion it will be a problem to some degree to lose Gragnani.

Maybe they do hold him on a pedestal. Even if they do, do you see Gragnani walking away from Buffalo? They just got a revamped arena, they're pampered like stars and Pegula is throwing money around like it's going out of style. Even if he doesn't play 50 games, he isn't going anywhere. He knows this and Lindy does too.

Even if he does leave, who cares? Sure he has some offensive potential, but with Ehrhoff, Myers and Sekera I think we're covered. Plus, my buddy played with him on PEI and said he was a penis anyways
